DJ1Vallee-Jonction, Quebec – DJ Shaw and the #60 Precision JLM returned to Autodrome Chaudiere for their fourth race at the track this season as part of the third and final leg of the Autobus La Quebecoise Triple Crown Series and Pro All Stars Series North event.  In their last race at the track, Shaw finished second on the track, but after technical inspection he was declared the winner and went into the final race with a show at the Triple Crown Championship.

After being rained out Saturday night, the Thunder Valley National 200 took place on Sunday afternoon in front of another great crowd at the popular Canada track.  Starting from the pole position in his heat race, Shaw blazed to the win ahead of point’s competitor Johnny Clark, giving him the 11th place starting spot during the 200 lap feature event.
Shaw worked his way through the field early on and found himself well inside of the top ten.  Many cautions plagued the first 100 laps, but Shaw was able to make his way into seventh before the 100 lap break, giving the team 15 minutes to make adjustments.

After the break, Shaw quickly worked his way into the top five and was looking for more until contact almost sent him for a spin, but he made a great save and only fell back to the eighth spot.  Shaw was able to make it back up to fifth at the races conclusion, another strong top five performance by the Precision JLM team.

“We had a decent car today, I think we could’ve gotten up to the top three,” Shaw said after the finish, “The car was just too tight all day, it didn’t matter what we did we couldn’t loosen it up enough.”

With the fifth place finish, Shaw finished second in the Autobus La Quebecoise Triple Crown Series to Johnny Clark.  The next race for the team will be this weekend, September 15th for the 8th Annual PASS 400 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.  Shaw is a former winner of the event and is looking to gain more ground in the title fight with just two races left in the PASS North season.  Racing starts at 12:15PM on Sunday.
