New Brunswick, Canada – DJ Shaw’s attempt at getting his fourth straight win in the Pro All Stars Series North fell just one spot short last Saturday at Speedway 660. The #60 Precision JLM Racing team took part in one of the most exciting races of the season at the front of the field during the 150 lap feature event en route to a second place finish to Johnny Clark.

“It really stinks to come up that short of four in a row, we wanted this one bad, but that’s how racing goes sometimes and it didn’t all go our way tonight,” Shaw said after the finish, “Next week we will try to get back on that winning streak, overall I’m happy with this run.”

After starting from the 13th position in the feature event, a spot that Shaw is used to starting so far this season, he made quick work of the field as he cracked into the top five by lap 40. While there was plenty of action throughout the race’s middle stages, Shaw rode just in the top five as he watched fellow Dale Shaw Racecars driver Joey Doiron battle for the lead with Johnny Clark. With 30 laps remaining, Shaw started to make his run to the front as he joined the top two battle. He was able to take advantage of an apparently engine issue on Doiron’s car to take second, and made a run at Clark in the race’s final ten laps. He worked the bottom of the track, but couldn’t grab the lead from Clark as Shaw settled for second place.

While the finish broke the winning streak, Shaw has had a fantastic 2014 season, as he hasn’t finished outside the top four in any event he’s entered thus far in the season. The PASS North Series will get a few weeks off before their next race at Autodrome Montmagny Speedway in Montmagny, Quebec, Canada on June 28th.
