North Woodstock, NH – In his return since sweeping the weekend his last time out at White Mountain Motorsports Park, Joey Doiron and the #73 Wild Willy’s Burgers/JBJ Machine team finished seventh this past weekend. Fighting his car throughout the event, Doiron ran near the top five all night in the fifth Pro All Stars Series North race of the season. Despite the finish, Doiron is still hungry to be better in the next race.

“We should’ve been a lot better tonight, I’m happy with the finish though and we will keep throwing things at this new car until we hit on something,” Doiron said after the race, “We were lucky to get through the wrecks though and come out of here with a good finish, my focus is now on to next weekend at Speedway 660 to compete for a win.”

Doiron finished fourth in his heat race after starting from the pole and struggling with the handling with the car. The team turned the car around quickly to give him a good piece for the 150 lap feature event. Starting from the tenth position, he held his own throughout the first part of the event, until the first caution flew just past halfway. After that, there was many incidents throughout the event, and Doiron found himself in the middle of most of them. Driving relentlessly through the incidents, Doiron made his way up to fourth nearing the finish of the race. A late race restart however relegated him to seventh, where he eventually finished.

The #73 Wild Willy’s Burgers/JBJ Machine team will be back in action next weekend at Speedway 660 for the PASS 150 on Saturday night, June 6th. Doiron suffered a mechanical failure and finished 15th in his last race at the track two years ago. The race will be held at 7:05PM on Saturday night. We hope to see many of our Canadian friends this weekend at Speedway 660!
