Barre, VT – Thunder Road officials have announced Jet Service Envelope night scheduled for Thursday, August 21 has been postponed due to rain. The event has been rescheduled for Friday, August 22 with the same 6:00pm post time.
Friday night’s action will include the entire card of racing originally scheduled for tonight. The Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen will headline the evening with Triple 50 features. The Late Models and Street Stocks will run regular events, plus the annual Run-What-U-Brung will be run during intermission.
Just three races remain in the 2014 Late Model “King of the Road” battle. Defending Champion Derrick O’Donnell used a win and a second place finish in last week’s two features to take over the top spot. Two-time “King of the Road” Nick Sweet sits just 15 points back.
Jason Woodard leads the way in the Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen ahead of Brendan Moodie. Tomorrow night’s Triple 50 features could have a dramatic effect on their title hunt. Tommy Smith continues to ride at the point in the Allen Lumber Street Stock standings, but Garry Bashaw, Donny Yates and Bunker Hodgdon are all within striking distance.
Jet Service Envelope – Accura Printing night will kick off with the first of three Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen 50 lap features at 6:00pm. The front gates will open at 4:30pm. Admission is just $12 for adults, $3 for kids (ages 6 to 12), kids under 6 are free and a family ticket (2 adults, 2 kids) is just $25.
