EAST MONTPELIER, Vt. – With the season starting to wind down and school starting in a just a couple of weeks, Emily Packard continues her busy racing schedule with a triple header on tap for her this weekend.

Beginning on Thursday night, August 21st, Packard and her 9x Northstar Fireworks/Packard Fuels car returns to Thunder Road.  With only two weekly shows left, the East Montpelier native hopes to finish out the season with a solid run the next two races, where she currently ranks 14th in the championship points.

On Friday August 22nd, the 17 year old and her 9x Northstar Fireworks/Packard Fuels team head back to Devil’s Bowl for the last weekly show of the season.  After winning the Triple Crown in the Late Model division two weeks ago, Packard and her team look to continue this success at the track.  She currently finds herself third in the track championship point’s battle, just 16 points out of second and 19 out of the lead.  Having 2 wins, and 8 top five’s out of 10 races, Packard’s team knows how to get the car to handle to her liking, and they look forward to finishing the season out strong here.  This weekend’s show at Devil’s Bowl consists of two 25 lap Late Model features and with points on the line; Packard will be ready to race.

On Saturday August 23rd, Packard and the team head north for the American Canadian Tour CAN-AM 200 at Circuit Ste-Croix, Riverside Speedway to run a 200 lap combination race with the sister division Série ACT.  Having never raced at this track, Packard looks forward to the opportunity to race the 5/8 mile oval.  “This being a new track for me, I can’t wait to get there and get the car out onto the track and turn a few laps,” said Packard.  This is the only stop in Canada for the American Canadian Tour, and Packard looks to make the most out of it.  “This track is nothing like I have ever raced on before, so I am excited to see what we can do there.” Packard said.  Currently third in points in the ACT Series, Packard has only two points races left in the season to capitalize on and gain as many valuable points she can.
