Story by Chris Roy
Two time Pro Wraps Bandolero Champion, Casey Call, looks to make it 3 in a row this season at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. “I’m definitely going to try but the competition gets harder every year and I know it will not be an easy task!”
The 2015 race season gets underway for the bandolero series tentatively on May 16th “Yes and I can’t wait for racing to start!”
So what is there to do while waiting for race season to start, go racing of course. “This off season I have kept pretty busy. I’ve been snowmobiling, and snowboarding along with multiple trips to Maine Indoor Karting. We also made the trip to Florida for the Winter Nationals at Orlando Speedworld.”
The number of drivers in the bandolero racing series has more than doubled since its first inergralle race in 2013. “There are a lot of kids that I used to race with in karting that will be stepping into the Bando class this year! It would be really cool if we could get 15+ car field.”
The 2015 Pro Wraps Bandolero schedule will most likely be a busy one this season, one idea that had been passed around was a night race under the lights. “I haven’t seen the schedule yet but I really hope there are more races than last year. As for a night race, that would be awesome!! I personally would love it!”
Casey has competed in every single bandolero race at NHMS, with a total of 10 wins. “I like how technical the track is. I’ve raced at quite a few other tracks and NHMS is by far one of the hardest places to get around.”
The legends cars race on the oval course as well as the road course at NHMS, so what if the bandos race on the road course. “That would be kind of neat! I would definitely like to try it!”
Casey would like to thank his sponsors – Sign Works, Sanels Auto Parts, Dick Kruger Excavation, Mark McCoo, John Decato and Son’s VP Race Fuels, and Wix Filters.
