Story by Chris Roy
Devin Curit, of Saco Maine, is ready to go racing this season but, this season he is a whole new story. Devin will be racing in the PASS Modified Series. “I wanted to go into a PASS Mod because I’ve heard a lot about the cars and the series and that it’s a lot of fun so I figured my team and I could something new.”
The snow is almost gone and the 1st PAS Modified race is on April 22nd at Oxford Plains Speedway, though Devin has been busy in the off season. “This off season been hanging out with family and friends and riding snowmobiles.”
Devin looks to make his mark this year, in his rookie season in the modified car. “My plans for 2017 is to finish races and have fun and try and dig for some good finishes.”
The modified car is a completely different type of race car then, what Devin raced last season in the Mad Bomber Series at the Ridge. “I don’t have any seat time in the new car yet but my crew and I plan on making it to practice on April 21st and making laps and learning a lot about the car.”
The PASS Mods is a touring series and every track is different, so the set up for car is different at each track. “Yeah, I’m looking forward to different tracks and I’m looking forward to the challenge it puts up to me and the team I know there will be times where we will struggle but I also know that we will have a good time and try our best.”
The 2017 PASS Mod schedule has 12 races at 4 tracks, ”I like the schedule that PASS puts out and I gutta say either Lee USA speedway or white mountain is the tracks I’m mostly looking forward to.”
The legends cars race the road course at NHMS as well as Thompson Speedway, so what if the Mods raced a road course. “I mean it would be fun racing a road course but I would rather stick to going left I’m better at that.”
Devin would like to thank his team sponsors, Performance Plus Motor Oil, Dayton Sand and Gravel, Richard Banville Trucking, Conroys Oil Service.
