Nathan Barth, of Buxton, Maine is looking forward to get dirt track racing at Barlett Bridge Raceway this race season. “I plan on running for a points Championship at Bartlett Bridge Raceway in the Sr cage class . I finished second there last year behind my brother Spencer. I’ll be running the kart my Brother has won three points Championships there with as he has moved to flat karts with no cages.”

Nathan has kept busy in the off season, by going racing. “I’ve been doing some indoor Karting in the winter leagues at Maine indoor Karting. I’ve also been doing some snowmobiling and spending time with my girlfriend Taylor.”

Barlett Bridge Raceway begin their 2017 race season on April 28th. “We rebuilt the kart from the ground up over the winter and are just waiting for the track to clear to start Slinging some gravel!”

This race season Nathan is putting his asphalt racing on hold and focusing on the dirt track program. “I’ve always been a dirt racer. I started my racing at Saco Pathfinders 4 years ago and have been doing triple duty between Richmond, Saco and Bartlett Bridge Raceway.”

Other than driving on an oval track, dirt and asphalt are to completely different styles of racing. “Dirt track racing has more side by side contact. You don’t always have the grip u want and holding your position or gaining one can be a challenge at times. Speeds are down but action is up.”

So what is the attraction of at Bartlett Bridge? “I really enjoy the people I race with and just plain have a good time. It’s dirty but it’s fun for sure. I love the feeling of dirt tracking in a four wheel slide.”

Nathan would like to thank his team sponsors –Maine Indoor Karting, New Energy Solutions, Quinn’s Installation, Straight Line Roofing, Crown Concrete, Risbara Const, and Howard Trucking.
