LEE, NH:  The 2017 Friday night racing season opens this Friday night at Lee USA Speedway where a track-record $339,000 in prize money has been posted for various divisions competing at scheduled events.

 

The weekly Friday night races start at 7:00pm with practice sessions beginning at 5:00pm.

 

Winged super-modifieds again will be the NASCAR championship point division this season at Lee, running weekly qualifying heat races and 30-lap feature events. Winners of each 30-lap feature are guaranteed a minimum $1,000 with $700 for second and $400 for third.

This season’s weekly Friday night purses amount to $180,000. In addition, three scheduled Valenti modified races, all scheduled as twin 50-lap main events, and are worth $57,000 in prize money. The 23rd annual Ollie Silva

Memorial Classic for the International Super-Modified Association (ISMA) offers a $37,500 purse for 24 starters in that 75-lap event on August 11th.

The Granite State Pro Stock Tour has two events at Lee this season for $19,000 in prize money. The Pro All-Star Series (PASS) makes two appearances for nearly $20,000 and the American-Canadian Tour Governor’s Cup 150 also hit over $20,000.

The season-ending point standings will determine another $23,636 in prize money for the top 10 drivers in each division.

Purses for weekly Friday night events are based on car counts in each racing division. Currently $335,680 is posted this season. That purse structure could increase by another $20,000 depending on how many additional cars compete as the season progresses.

Along with weekly 30-lap main events in the super-modified and sportsman late model divisions, Hobby stocks will run 25-lap features while “Ironmen” and pure stocks will each have 20-lap main events.

 

Spectator ticket prices will remain unchanged for the third consecutive season.
