LEE, NH:  A gigantic fireworks show plus some hot racing in a four- division program highlight this Friday night’s Independence Day special event kicking off the Fourth of July weekend opener at Lee USA Speedway.

Corning off back-to-back rainouts, this Friday’s action promises to be one of the best programs of the 2017 season.

Super-modifieds, late model sportsmen, Ironmen and pure stocks make up the four divisions of race cars with qualifying heats
determining starting lineups in five feature races. The 35-lap super-mod feature will pay the winner $1,000 with a slow break-down to 15th place. Late model sportsmen also will run a 35-lap feature with other classes having 25 and 20-lap main events.

NASCAR state points are awarded to the top finishers.

This Friday night’s fireworks show is undoubtedly the biggest in the track’s 33-year history and will go off once the racing program is complete.

In all, the fireworks show will consist of 700 sky rockets and pyro bombs including what promises to be a spectacular grand finale of 180 mixed shells. Fans at the track are assured that they will see one of the finest fireworks shows in the region.

Practice starts at 5 p.m. and the first qualifying heat at 7 p.m.

Adults are $15 per ticket with seniors and juniors $13. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge.
