Jacob Perry of Stonington, CT., will be starting a new adventure this race season, as he gets behind the wheel in the #76 Valenti Modified car this season. Like most race car drivers Jacob has been getting ready for the 2018 race season, “Working on the racecars, using Iracing to practice and snowboarding.”

Jacob will be racing the full V-Modified schedule, a total of 15 races at 8 different tracks including 1 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The first race of the season is on April 7th at Thompson Motorsports Park. “The track I’m looking most forward to on the schedule is probably NHMS. I can’t wait to be up on the big track after running the Bandolero track there. I’m also excited for Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.”

With a full race schedule and as a rookie this season Jacob has his race card full. “2018 race season plans- Run MRS, chase rookie of the year, win some races and hopefully add races to the schedule if something comes available.”

Last season Jacob raced in the Mini Stocks at Lee and Waterford Speedway as well as Pro 4 Modifieds at Monadnock Speedway. This race season opportunity came knocking.  “The opportunity came up and we took advantage of it.”

Though his dad, Dennis Perry, isn’t racing this season, what would it be to race against him? And would Jacob put the bumper to his father if needed?  “It’s not official that I have put him out to pasture yet lol, but I would absolutely love to race against him. To have the opportunity would be absolutely incredible. And yes, in a heartbeat would I move him, especially for the win because if I didn’t I would never hear the end of it that he beat me!”

Jacob would like to thank his sponsors- Ashaway Preformance Engines, PMW Marine, Perry Motors, Bilstien Shocks, Valenti Family Of Dealerships

I would also like to thank my dad, my mother, Shelly and Norm especially for making this possible. I can’t wait to see what 2018 brings!!
