DJ1 Scarborough, ME – Even with rainouts postponing a number of the races in the Pro All Stars Series North, DJ Shaw and the #60 Precision JLM team haven’t let that keep them from the track. After two wins in two races in weekly competition, Shaw and the team were riding on positive momentum going into round four of the PASS North tour at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. Shaw grabbed his first win of the season in the last PASS race at the Scarborough track, and took the win a week ago in the Nascar Whelen All-American Series “Pro Series 100.”

After a quick rainstorm earlier in the day to keep the theme of the season going, Shaw drove to a fourth place finish in his heat race. This would give Shaw a 12th place starting position for the 150 lap feature event.

Shaw fought a tight handling racecar throughout the race. The team decided early on to pit for an adjustment in a bleeder in one of the tires to help the handling. Being conservative, Shaw started to work his way through the pack in the second half of the event, and finished the race with a hard fought sixth place finish.

“We were real loose in the heat race and we over adjusted just a bit for the feature,” Shaw explained after the race, “That’s about the tightest car I’ve ran here, but I’m glad we got a decent finish out of it to keep us in the points race.”

The Precision JLM team will be back in action this Friday night at Oxford Plains Speedway for the fifth PASS North Series event, a make-up race from June 23rd. Shaw finished second in his heat race that day and is set to roll off 12th on Friday night’s 150 lap feature event. Racing will start at 7:15PM.
