West Haven, VT – The leader of the youth movement on the American-Canadian Tour; 21-year-old, #97 Joey Polewarczyk Jr of Hudson N.H. is excited about making his first ever start at the recently paved half-mile oval of Devil’s Bowl Speedway, located in West Haven, Vermont.

The ACT Late Model Tour makes its Devil’s Bowl debut in the Spring Green 111. The former dirt track was paved before the onset of the 2010 season and the Thunder Road ACT type Late Models and a select number of Tour drivers drove in a highly successful race last year, which was a stepping-stone to getting the ACT to sanction an event in 2011. With the addition of the new asphalt, Devil’s Bowl becomes only the second track in the state of Vermont to hold an ACT Race. The other track of course is Thunder Road Speedbowl in Barre, VT

Driver Q n’ A

Joey, what are your thoughts on going to the newly paved Devil’s Bowl for the first time?

We are very excited to go there, we have only seen the track through pictures, but it looks like a very racy, flat miniature version of New Hampshire Motor Speedway. We love going to places that we have never been before, we feel it is a real measuring stick on how good of a team you are. We think the team is just starting to gel and getting the Pole’s Automotive, NH Precision, Hedman Hedders Ford into Victory Lane would be fantastic.

Last week the Oxford ACT Race was rained out, how does that affect the team chemistry?

We are fortunate that we were able to race at Star Speedway last weekend, so our team kept fresh and I feel that I did as well. We know that everyone for the most part will be on an even playing field when we go to Devil’s Bowl but like most races you go to, you just try to get that edge and constantly competing is one of the ways to stay focused.
