Vallee-Jct., QC – The American Canadian Tour “Showdown at Chaudiere” All-Star event at Autodrome Chaudiere scheduled for Saturday, September 8 has been postponed due to rain. The event has been rescheduled for tomorrow (Sunday, September 9) with a post time of 12noon.
Twenty-four (24) of the best ACT Late Model teams in the Northeast US and Eastern Quebec will compete in a 200 lap event tomorrow. Three qualifying heats will begin at 12noon to decide the feature line-up based on ACT’s plus-minus handicap system.
Current point leaders Wayne Helliwell, Jr. (ACT US) and Patrick Laperle (Serie ACT Castrol) will lead their respective teams while also aiming for the $5,000 pay day. The team with the combined lowest score will earn an extra $500 for each member of their team. Other stars include eight-time ACT Champion Brian Hoar, Jean-François Déry, Austin Theriault, Donald Theetge, Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., Karl Allard, Randy Potter and David Michaud among others.
Post time for the Showdown at Chaudiere 200 qualifying is scheduled for 12noon tomorrow (Sunday, September 9).
