Bryan Searles, driver of the #07 kart from Presque, ME. Is ready for the snow to melt and go racing. “Just chilling back and preparing for next season. I’ve been going to boys scouts and trying to earn some merit badges. Other than that I’ve been playing video games and riding snow sled.”
The #07 plans to be victorious in the 2018 race season? I hope to get first place in every single race and the XXX series and the Halloween Howler. And just to have fun.
Bryan Searles, of Presque Isle, Maine competed in 4 different series at 3 different race tracks (Thundering Valley Raceway – Richmond Karting Speedway, and Spud Speedway) during the 2017 race season. Driving the #07 Bryan was able to win two championships. One at Spud Speedway, the other at Thundering Valley. Then round off the season with a second place in the RKS “XXX” Series and a 6th for overall points in the RKS regular season. “It feels like I worked really hard to get here and that everyone has been really kind and helpful. Everyone has been really good competition for me and that’s helpful since I want to go to NASCAR someday.”
With all the races he ran this past season Bryans highlight came during a night race at RKS, “One of my most memorable moments from this year was, my first win at RKS, was that I won the first triple X race.”
Bryan Searles of Presque Isle, Maine is one of the new rising stars in the Richmond Karting Speedway “XXX” Series. In the first night race of the season Bryan got his first career win at RKS, “It felt good. I had to really work for that one because everyone is so competitive there.”
On Friday night July 28th the drivers will return to RKS for race number 2, in the “XXX” series, to once again race under the lights. “It’s fun to drive under the lights. It’s not as hot. The night race is cooler and the day race is much hotter. My kart handles better in the night time. ”
Alex Moore, of Oxford, ME. will be driving the #21 in the Sr. Sportsman Series at Richmond Karting Speedway. “My racing plans for 2017 are to get some wins and compete for the championship.”
The 2017 race season at RKS gets underway on April 30th but, Alex has been keeping busy in the off season. “In the off-season, I’ve been going to school and just hanging out with my family.”
