Groveton, NH – Bradford, VT’s Derrick O’Donnell strengthened his ACT Bond/WIX Tiger Tour point lead with a win in the Johnny Clark Memorial 101 at Riverside Speedway in Groveton, NH on Saturday, September 17. O’Donnell came from the eighth starting position and took the lead after Joe Steffen suffered a flat tire on the final restart of the event.
Steffen lead early before giving up the lead to Bobby Therrien on the first restart of the event. Therrien would lead the next seven laps before pitting during the second caution of the day handing the lead back to Steffen. Steffen held the lead until a flat tire while coming to the green during the final restart. (more…)

Waterbury, VT –The American Canadian Tour (ACT) has finalized the invitations for the forty-three (43) teams who will compete in the 3rd annual ACT Invitational at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) to be held Saturday, September 24, 2011.
The Invitational is part of a spectacular Saturday race program. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will join the ACT Late Model teams in the biggest triple header event of the year.

Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour (ACT) announced today penalties imposed on the Alex Labbe ACT Castrol team for violations incurred at the CAN-AM 200 held at the Riverside Speedway in Ste. Croix, QC on September 11, 2011. Labbe was disqualified from his win when the team refused to allow their engine to be impounded after a protest was filed by another race team, which is in keeping with ACT rules and procedures.

Nick Sweet: ACT Late Model Tour
Circuit Riverside Race Report
STE-CROIX, Que. – Nick Sweet of Barre, Vt., continued making good use of his partial ACT Late Model Tour schedule, finishing third in the Can-Am 200 at Circuit Riverside in Ste-Croix, Que., on Sunday, September 11. In three races with RPM Motorsports, Sweet has a pair of podium finishes in the No. 57 RPM Racing Engines Ford. He started 15th in the rain-delayed Can-Am 200 and played a patient waiting game to have a shot at the leaders of a final restart with six laps to go.

Austin Theriault: ACT Late Model Tour

STE-CROIX, Que. – Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, continued to roll along on the ACT Late Model Tour, posting a pair of strong finishes in a doubleheader weekend north of the border. Theriault finished eighth in the 24-car ACT Budweiser Showdown at Chaudiere 200 all-star race at Autodrome Chaudiere on Saturday, September 10, and the 17-year-old then posted a fourth-place effort the very next day in the postponed Can-Am 200 at Circuit Riverside in Ste-Croix, Que. It marked the fifth straight Top-5 finish for the AT Racing No. 57 Varney Insurance Ford in ACT points events and moved him up one spot to fourth in the overall ACT standings with one race remaining.
