Waterbury, VT – American Canadian Tour (ACT) officials announced the 2011 Bond/WIX Tiger Sportsmen Tour schedule featuring three 100-lap events at three different venues.
The Limited Late Model division, which has been competing at Thunder Road in Barre, VT since 1964, will begin their season on their home track as part of a 100-lap double header during the Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic on Sunday, May 29.

Waterbury, VT – Building on the success of the past two ACT Invitationals, officials from New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) and the American Canadian Tour (ACT) announced today that the largest touring late model series will add a second event to the ‘Magic Mile’ in 2011.
The event will be presented as part of the IZOD Indy Car Series weekend on August 12-13, 2011 at the largest sports and entertainment facility in New England, the region’s only super speedway. The NASCAR Whelen Modified Division will join the ACT Late Models as part of an ‘ALL STAR’ weekend for short track racing, featuring full-fender ACT Late Models and the very popular open-wheeled NASCAR Modifieds.

GEORGIA, Vermont — Multi-time ACT Late Model Tour championship team RPM Motorsports will expand to a two-car operation in 2011. RPM owner Rick Paya announced today that he intends to field a second entry for second-year driver Austin Theriault.
Theriault, of Fort Kent, Maine, will compete full-time on the ACT Tour in 2011 in the RPM Motorsports No. 57vt Ford Fusion.

Waterbury, VT – Thunder Road International Speedbowl sophomore Late Model driver Dylan Smith of Randolph, will take his second swing at earning a spot on the Revolution Racing team as part of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program. The Revolution team competes on the NASCAR K&N Pro East Series and the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series.
Smith is currently competing at the seventh annual Drive for Diversity combine at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, Virginia. Drivers are evaluated on their on-track performance, marketing and media aptitude, physical fitness, and personality, among other things. Smith was invited to last season’s combine but didn’t make the cut for the Revolution team.

Joey Polewarczyk, Jr. Dominates Waterford 150
Waterford, CT – Hudson, NH’s Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., a.k.a. Joey Pole, continued his American Canadian Tour hot streak with a dominating win in the final ACT Late Model Tour event of the 2010 season. Pole led 137 laps of the Waterford 150 at Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT. The 21 year old has now won his last three ACT events including the ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in September and the Milk Bowl at Thunder Road last week (Oct. 3).
Williston, VT’s Brian Hoar finished second and claimed his record tying seventh ACT Late Model Tour Championship. Hoar also leads the all-times ACT Late Model Tour wins list with 28 including three during the 2010 season. Hoar was also the only competitor to finish inside the top ten in all 13 Tour events this season.

Tony Rossi Wins John Clark Memorial 101 at Riverside Speedway
Groveton, NH – Peacham, Vermont’s Tony Rossi earned his first Bond/WIX Tiger Tour win of the season in the John Clark Memorial 101 at Riverside Speedway in Groveton, NH on Saturday, October 9, 2010. The 2010 Bond Auto Tiger Sportsmen Thunder Road Track Champion led the final six laps to take the win.
Hinesburg’s Tom Therrien claimed second, followed by Derrick O’Donnell, Brendan Moodie and Eric Badore to complete the top five. St. Albans, Vermont’s Jason Bonnett claimed the 2010 Bond/WIX Tiger Tour Championship with his sixth place finish. Bonnett led Therrien by nine points going into the fourth and final event. Erik Steel, Jeff Marshall, Mike Martin and Jimmy Hebert completed the top ten.
