ACT INVITATIONAL AT NHMS FILLED WITH 24 PAST CHAMPIONS

       Waterbury, VT – The field is set for the inaugural American Canadian Tour (ACT) Invitational to be held this weekend at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) in Loudon, NH. The 36-car field for the historic first-ever Late Model stock car race is filled with the best short track drivers in the Northeastern US and provinces of Quebec and Ontario, Canada. The $65,000 event is slated to take green at 5:30 Saturday afternoon, following the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series ‘Heluva Good! 200’.

Patrick Laperle Wins Fall Foliage 300

Plattsburgh, NY – Montreal’s Patrick Laperle used smart tire strategy and a strong car to win the American Canadian Tour Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Fall Foliage 300 after leading the majority of the way. Laperle battled early with another Quebecer Donald Theetge as they both started on the front row. Theetge spun on lap 14 and opened the door for another Serie ACT Castrol regular Karl Allard. Allard and Laperle then went at it until about the halfway point when Allard bowed out with rearend issues.

ACT INVITATIONAL ANNOUNCES MORE INVITEES

       Waterbury, VT – The much anticipated ACT INVITATIONAL list is just one spot from completion with today’s announcement of the next seven drivers to be asked to join the field of 28 teams that have already accepted invitations to participate at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) ‘Magic Mile’ on Saturday, September 19, 2009.

Dave Pembroke Dominates the Bond Auto Labor Day Classic

Barre, VT – Dave Pembroke of Montpelier led all 200 laps of the American Canadian Tour Bond Auto Labor Day Classic 200 at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT. Pembroke started on the pole after earning a +8 handicap by moving from 11th to 3rd in his heat race. John Donahue and Patrick Laperle battled hard for the final 19 laps with Donahue getting the edge by a bumper at the line. Brian Hoar and Eric Williams were the final two cars on the lead lap and rounded out the top five.

Brent Dragon Captures Twin State 100 Victory

Claremont, NH – Brent Dragon of Milton, VT scored his second feature win of the week in American Canadian Tour competition. Dragon took home the win in the Twin State 100 at Twin State Speedway in Claremont, NH after winning the Showdown at Chaudiere just five days ago. It was Dragon’s first win of the 2009 ACT Tour season.

ACT DOUBLE HEADER LABOR DAY WEEKEND

       Waterbury, VT – The upcoming Labor Day weekend will bring a major test for the American Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Model race teams. The first double-header weekend of the season takes place with a rain make up event at the Twin State Speedway in Claremont, NH on Friday night, September 4. Post time is 7 pm. Following the event at Twin State; the TOUR will head to Thunder Road for the 31st running of the Bond Auto Labor Day Classic 200 on Sunday, September 6, 2009.
