Crouch Adds to History Book With Thunder Road Win

       BARRE, VT – Late Model stock car racer Robbie Crouch of Tampa, FL added another chapter to his storied career with a 50-lap victory in the Fisher/Federated Auto Parts Trophy Dash at Barre’s Thunder Road on Friday night.  Crouch, a six-time American-Canadian Tour Champion with nearly 100 feature wins to his credit, earned his first Thunder Road win since the 1988 Chittenden Bank Milk Bowl.

Thunder Road Pushed Back by Rain to Friday

       BARRE, VT – The Fisher/Federated Auto Parts stock car racing program set for Thursday, July 24 at Barre’s Thunder Road has been washed away by rain.  The four-division card has been rescheduled for Friday, July 25 at 6:30pm.  Gates will open at 5:00pm, regular admission rates will be in effect at $9.50 for adults, $3 for children (6-12), and just $20 for a family of any two adults and any two kids.

Michaud Tightens Thunder Road Point Race With Mid-Season Championship

       BARRE, VT – Stock car driver Cris Michaud of Northfield tightened the track championship point battle at Barre’s Thunder Road with a victory in the 50-lap Times Argus Mid-Season Championship race on Thursday night.  The win, his third of the season, came in a race that awarded double points, bringing him to within six points of leader Eric Williams, unofficially.

Double Points on the Line, Autographs on Tap at Thunder Road Thursday

       BARRE, VT – Stock car drivers at Barre’s Thunder Road will feel double the pressure to perform on Thursday (July 17) with championship points doubled for the Times Argus Mid-Season Championship event, beginning at 6:30pm.  Point values will be doubled for all preliminary and main events in all four divisions, including the Feature races.  A Feature victory, traditionally worth 75 points, is now 150 for the Times Argus Mid-Season Championship.

Laperle Repeats ACT Sizzler Victory at Kawartha Speedway

       FRASERVILLE, ON – Stock car driver Patrick Laperle turned in a repeat performance in the American-Canadian Tour “Summer Sizzler 200” at Kawartha Speedway in Fraserville, Ontario on Sunday, winning the event for the second consecutive year.  The Montreal racer drove from 15th starting position to the lead pack in the 36-car field, then was part of a sensational see-saw battle with fellow Quebec native Karl Allard for the victory.

Rookie White Scores Flag-to-Flag Thunder Road Late Model Win

       BARRE, VT – Late Model stock car rookie Matt White of Northfield earned his first career victory at Barre’s Thunder Road on Thursday night in the 50-lap Charter Communications Trophy Dash.  White started on the outside of the front row and took the lead from polesitter Brooks Clark on lap 1, then drove uncontested to the win in a caution-free race.
