Whitcomb Wants One More Spot at Thunder Road?s Ferguson Waterworks Night

       BARRE, VT – There may be no person in Vermont looking forward to Thursday evening more than Late Model stock car driver Dave Whitcomb of Essex Junction.  The multi-time champion will return to Barre’s Thunder Road – a 1/4-mile, high-banked, asphalt short track where Whitcomb was the 1995 “King of the Road” Track Champion – in pursuit of the victory on Ferguson Waterworks Night, June 12 at 6:30 pm.

ACT?s Payea Holds Off Track Champion Thomas at Waterford Speedbowl

       WATERFORD, CT – Late Model stock car driver Scott Payea continued a dream season by winning the Nutmeg State 100 at Connecticut’s Waterford Speedbowl on Saturday night.  The 26 year-old from Milton, VT held off defending Waterford Speedbowl Track Champion Bruce Thomas, Jr. of Groton, CT for his second American-Canadian Tour victory in six starts this year.

NAPA Tiger Sportsmen ?All Good? at Thunder Road

       BARRE, VT – A change has begun at Barre, VT’s Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl.  Stock car racing is a 49 year-old tradition at the Quarry Hill oval, and one of its benchmarks has been the NAPA Tiger Sportsman division – an intermediate, budget-minded class utilizing stock chassis and V8 power.  Over 35 Sportsman cars are expected on Ferguson Waterworks Night, Thursday, June 12 at 6:30pm at “The Nation’s Site of Excitement,” to continue producing some of the closest racing of the season.
