OXFORD, ME – Stock car driver Jean-Paul Cyr of Milton, VT is on the verge of breaking two all-time American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Championship records on Saturday at Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway. Should Cyr finish 23rd or better in the season-ending New England Dodge Dealers 150 at the 3/8-mile oval track, he will clinch his fifth-straight ACT Late Model Tour title and seventh overall. Both marks would be new records across all ACT divisions dating back to 1979.

BARRE, VT – The winners of the annual Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel “Hottest Shoe” Awards for stock car racers at Barre’s Thunder Road have been decided. Braintree’s Kip Stockwell (American-Canadian Tour Late Model), hometown driver Nick Sweet (NAPA Tiger Sportsman), and Hinesburg youngster Bobby Therrien (Allen Lumber Street Stock) each posted to most feature event wins in their respective divisions in 2007, and have earned bonus checks from Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel, to be given at the annual ACT/Thunder Road Awards Banquet in January.

OXFORD, ME – Champion stock car racer Tracie Bellerose of Gorham, NH will team up with Graniteville, VT driver John Donahue, sponsor National Guard, and team owner Kendell Roberts at the American-Canadian Tour’s season-ending New England Dodge Dealers 150 at Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway on Saturday. Bellerose is a former Track Champion at Thunder Road in Barre, VT, and owns a pair of feature victories in weekly competition at Oxford.

OXFORD, ME – Five-time American-Canadian Tour (ACT) stock car racing champion Brian Hoar of Williston, VT is hunting after the victory that has eluded him all season long, as he returns to Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway for the New England Dodge Dealers 150 on Saturday. Hoar rejoined the ACT Late Model Tour in 2007 after spending several seasons racing the NASCAR Busch East Series, and looked like a potential winner at Oxford in April before a failed rear end on his Goss Dodge Charger ended his day.

BARRE, VT – Stock car driver Mike Ziter of Williamstown has been disqualified from his apparent second-place finish in Sunday’s 30-lap Allen Lumber Street Stock feature at Barre’s Thunder Road. The event was run in conjunction with the 44th Annual Chittenden Milk Bowl for the American-Canadian Tour.

BARRE, VT – Hometown stock car racer Nick Sweet and Hinesburg rookie driver Bobby Therrien shone at
the season-ending Chittenden Milk Bowl at Barre’s Thunder Road on Sunday afternoon. In front of the
season’s largest crowd, both youngsters captured not only feature event victories in their respective
divisions, they were also crowned Thunder Road Champions.
