BARRE, VT – The best short track Late Model stock car drivers from the United States and Canada are preparing to do battle for the country’s greatest short track racing prize – victory in the 44th Annual Chittenden Milk Bowl at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, VT on Sat./Sun., September 29/30. The Milk Bowl, with its unique three-segment, cumulatively scored format, was voted by American race promoters and National Speed Sport News as the “Outstanding Annual Short Track Event” last year. “The highest praise any race track can receive is to be recognized by Chris Ecomomaki’s National Speed Sport News, and the Chittenden Milk Bowl winning the Outstanding Annual Short Track Event award ranks very high on the list of Thunder Road’s achievements,” said Thunder Road President Tom Curley.

FRASERVILLE, ON – Quebec Late Model stock car driver Patrick Laperle dominated the $50,000 ACTion Super Series “Summer Sizzler 200” at Kawartha Speedway in Fraserville, Ontario Saturday night, taking his second American-Canadian Tour victory of the season. Laperle, a native of St-Denis, QC outside Montreal, earned a cool $6,000 for his win.

The 44th Annual Vermont Milk Bowl at Barre, VT’s Thunder Road has new underwriting for its 2007 season-ending stock car event. Chittenden, a major banking institution in Vermont for over 100 years, will support the tate’s largest annual sports event that in 2006 was voted by American promoters as the top short track (under ½-mile) race in the nation.

FRASERVILLE, ON – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) stock car racing series makes its long-awaited return to Ontario on Saturday, September 15, as Fraserville’s Kawartha Speedway hosts the ACTion Super Series’ $50,000 Summer Sizzler 200 at 6:00 pm. As many as 40 Late Model race teams from Ontario, Quebec, and the northeastern United States are expected to attempt qualifying at the fast 4/10-mile, progressively-banked oval just outside the city of Peterborough.

BARRE, VT – The annual Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel “Hottest Shoe” Awards are on the line for stock car drivers at Barre’s Thunder Road. The drivers who tally the most feature event wins in the American-Canadian Tour Late Model, NAPA Tiger Sportsman, and Allen Lumber Street Stock divisions during the course of the 2007 season will each receive a year-end bonus at the annual ACT/Thunder Road Awards Banquet in January 2008. Should two or more drivers tie for the top spot in any division, the prize money will be split evenly among them.
