BARRE, VT – Hometown stock car racer Scott Weston was named the winner of the special 18-lap Bond Auto Junkyard Warrior Feature at Barre, VT’s Thunder Road on Saturday afternoon. Weston crossed the finish line in third place after leading much of the event, but was awarded the victory after apparent first-place and second-place finishers Travis Hull and Ryan Foster were disqualified in post-race inspection.

BARRE, VT – Outlaw stock car racer Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, MA is the latest to file an entry for
Sunday’s 29th Bond Auto Labor Day Classic 200, part of the American-Canadian Tour’s ACTion Super Series at Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl in Barre, VT. The 27 year-old MacDonald has copped victories on the ACT Late Model Tour and the NASCAR Busch East Series this season, and will make his first trip to “The Nation’s Site of Excitement” since running with the Busch East Series in the 2003 Labor Day Classic.

BARRE, VT – Montpelier stock car driver Dave Pembroke was crowned the 2007 “King of the Road” at Barre’s Thunder Road on Fisher/Federated Auto Parts Night on Tuesday. Pembroke joins a list 48 years in the making as champion of the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Model division at the historic quarter-mile high-banked oval.

Elder Mike Rowe to make first Vermont race appearance since 2000
BARRE, VT – Champion stock car racers Mike and Ben Rowe of Turner, ME will make their return to Barre, VT’s Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl on Sunday, Sept. 2 for the American-Canadian Tour’s $50,000+ 29th Bond Auto Labor Day Classic 200, part of the ACTion Super Series. The father-son duo has won races and championships all
along the eastern seaboard, and each will make their first trip of the year around the Thunder Road high banks this weekend. For Mike Rowe, Sunday’s race ends a seven-year absence in the Green Mountain State.

BARRE, VT – The Late Model stock car championship is on the line at Barre’s Thunder Road Tuesday night. After 13 race events this summer, three drivers will decide among themselves who will win the 48th annual “King of the Road” title at Tuesday’s 50-lap Fisher/Federated Auto Parts Trophy Dash. Montpelier veteran Dave Pembroke is aiming for his first career Late Model crown, and will have to hold off former champions Jamie “Hurricane” Fisher of Shelburne and Cris Michaud of Williamstown.

BARRE, VT – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) stock car driver Trampas Demers has filed an entry for the $50,000+ ACTion Super Series 29th Bond Auto Labor Classic 200 at Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl (Barre, VT), Sunday, Sept. 2. Demers, a regular weekly competitor at the high-banked ¼-mile oval, fell just short of scoring a major upset victory at last year’s Bond Auto Labor Classic 200.
