“The first time we made a deal together was in 2008,” Theetge said of the first time he met Crazy Horse Racing owners Mitch and Judy Green. “Mitch was at Thunder Road with a new chassis, and I decided in wintertime to build a brand new car. I had a good friendship with Mitch and Judy, so I went to them and in 2009 I won the championship on the ACT Castrol Series in that car.

GEORGIA, Vt. – Eight-time ACT Late Model Tour champion Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., attempts to add to his impressive Airborne Speedway resume when the ACT Late Model Tour heads to the Airborne 100 in Plattsburgh, N.Y., on Saturday, May 18. Hoar has a series-record seven career wins at a track where he began his racing career in weekly competition, and the driver of the RPM Motorsports No. 37 GossCars.com Dodge Charger has 38 career ACT victories in all. This marks Hoar’s final Tour race before he plans to take a break from racing until later this summer as the veteran driver scales back to a part-time schedule in 2013. (more…)

ACT Heads to Airborne Speedway

ACT LogoWaterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour Stock Car Championship Series turns to Plattsburgh, NY’s Airborne Speedway for the ACT 100 this Saturday, May 18, marking the fourth point-counting event on the 14-race schedule.

2012 ACT Rookie of the Year Jimmy Hebert continues to show the way on the Tour, leading 8-time ACT Champion Brian Hoar by a slim margin, with defending Champion Wayne Helliwell, Jr. waiting in third. The trio has taken a win apiece in the three point-counting events thus far, and now head to Airborne to settle the score.

Waterbury, VT – After 113 laps (56.5 miles) of American Canadian Tour Championship Stock Car racing at West Haven, VT’s Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Sunday, the victory in the Spring Green 113 came down to a flip of the coin: a margin that gave reigning ACT Champion Wayne Helliwell, Jr. a critical early-season win, and left ACT Point Leader Jimmy Hebert’s advantage at just three points.
