CLAREMONT, NH – Teen phenom Cole Robie soared to victory Friday under the lights at Claremont Motorsports Park, winning with ease as he pocketed the $5,000 winner’s purse for topping the Granite State Pro Stock Series 150-lap main event at the Thrasher Road third mile.
In the night’s Late Model feature, Green Mountain Boy Stephen Donahue improved on a handful of early season near misses by blasting to his first 2026 CMP victory. Race Advance by Jeff Brown, For Granite State Pro Stock Series
Plenty of novelty awaits the Granite State Pro Stock Series entering its twelfth year on the road. And to get it all started, the New Hampshire-based touring circuit is returning to where last year’s championship chase wrapped up.
Saturday’s Hedges Excavating 100 at Star Speedway kicks off an eight-race schedule that introduces two new venues to the series’ repertoire and visits the Empire State for the second time in series history. But it all starts at “The Place To Race,” where 100 laps around the Epping, N.H. bullring will decide the first winner of the 2023 season.
Star has hosted sixteen rounds of GSPSS competition since 2012, crowning winners from 2020 champion Joey Polewarczyk to 2015 titlist and rising NASCAR star Derek Griffith. The venerable track owned by the Webber family will roll out the red carpet for the GSPSS in a big way this year, welcoming the series for three races starting with this weekend’s showdown.
ANGELO BELSITO EARNS GRANITE STATE PRO STOCK SERIES WIN AT MONADNOCK
By Souza Media/Kyle Souza
WINCHESTER, N.H. — Round two of the Granite State Pro Stock Series season brought competitors to the high-banks of Monadnock Speedway, and it was multiple-time series winner Angelo Belsito clicking off another checkered flag.
Belsito and the rest of the field competed in three, 20-lap segment races in place of a 100-lap feature — and the final finishing order for the race was determined based on a points system. The winner of each segment earned one point, while second-place earned two points, third earned three, and so on, throughout the field. The driver with the lowest number of points at the end of the three — Belsito — was declared the overall winner of the day. Devin O’Connell was second and Gabe Brown third.
Belsito won the first two segments and was the runner-up in the final round. O’Connell finished fourth in the first race, then second and first.
