Ickler Tops Camping World Series Field At Iowa

NEWTON, Iowa – Brian Ickler packed his bags in December and moved to North Carolina, starting from scratch in the hub of NASCAR in an effort to further his career.

The payoff for the 22-year-old Ickler came Sunday when he drove his family-owned No. 15 Ickler Motorsports Chevrolet to Victory Lane in the US Cellular 200 at Iowa Speedway. To get there, Ickler had to out-race a field full of some of the top up-and-coming drivers in the NASCAR Camping World Series, as well as NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Kasey Kahne – less than 24-hours removed from his own victory in the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Challenge at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C.

ASM Makes NASCAR History Yet Again

Harrisburg, NC – NASCAR announced today that the #44 Chevrolet driven by Peyton Sellers would earn 30th place points and forfeit it’s season-opening win in the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 at Greenville Pickens Speedway due to a rules infraction.  Per NASCAR, this decision can not be appealed.

            Concord, NC (April 14, 2008): In 2007, Ken Schrader Racing (KSR) made a lasting impact on the newly-named NASCAR Camping World Series East when their driver Jamie Hayes finished eighth in the championship standings. This season, Hayes is no longer a rookie, and the team has expanded to a two-car operation with driver Ricky Carmichael. Both have their eye on success, and are optimistic for a strong start at the historic Greenville-Pickens Speedway this Saturday night.

            Uncasville, CT (April 14, 2008): Matt Kobyluck began the 2008 season with an annual appearance in the NASCAR Camping World Series West race at Phoenix International Raceway last week with a tenth place finish. This week, the Mohegan Sun Casino race team is anxious to begin a bid for the NASCAR Camping World Series East title at Greenville-Pickens Speedway. If Phoenix was any indication, luck will be on Kobyluck’s side.

Dillon?s Confidence High For NCWS East Greenville-Pickens Opener

Austin Dillon will make his series debut in the NASCAR Camping World Series East two weeks from now when the season gets underway at Greenville-Pickens Speedway. The 17-year old, who will be piloting the #3 Garage Equipment Supply Chevrolet’s fielded by ASM Motorsports, couldn’t be more pleased with the venue – having posted nearly a handful of top-10 finishes at the historic ½-mile oval.
