NEMA ready for Thompson’s Icebreaker

The Northeastern Midget Association begins its 56th season at Thompson International Speedway’s Icebreaker April 5-6. Club President Mike Scrivani Jr. expects upward to 30 cars for the 25-lapper on what is the fastest track NEMA visits.

Stoehr Breaks Into NEMA Victory Lane at Monadnock

Winchester, NH (September 1, 2007): This season, Greg Stoehr of E. Bridgewater, MA, has been knocking on the door of victory lane. On Saturday night, he let himself in by winning the 25-lap feature event at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, NH. Stoehr has posted several top finishes this season including runner-up finishes at both Thompson Speedway and the Waterford Speedbowl. Mechanical woes stopped Stoehr in his tracks at what could have been a promising race at the Stafford Motor Speedway. Nothing could stand in Stoehr’s way at the fast quarter-miler as the veteran driver went on to capture his first victory since rejoining the Club full-time in 2005.

Cicconi Back on Top at Seekonk in Team Bertrand NEMA Sweep
 
Seekonk, MA (August 29, 2007):  Open-wheel ace “Liquid” Lou Cicconi of Aston, PA, scored his second Northeastern Midget Association (NEMA) victory of the season in dominating fashion on Wednesday night at Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, MA. This was the second race for the Midgets at Seekonk in the last five days. The event, which was postponed due to inclement weather back on July 18, 2007, was worth the wait for Cicconi and his Bertrand Racing teammate Randy Cabral, who chased Cicconi to the checkers. Cicconi took advantage of his front row starting position and went on to wire the field for the victory.
