PASS Sets 2018 Dates To Crown Super Late Model’s National Champion
- 45th Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway to pay PASS Super Late Model winner $25,000, plus $25,000 in guaranteed lap leader money

- Dillon, Thompson, Richmond, North-South Shootout At Concord And Meltdown At Hickory Fill Out Remainder Of Championship Schedule
NAPLES, ME (January 26) – Pro All Stars Series (PASS) officials have released the six dates and locations that will make up the 11th Annual PASS National Championship Series. The schedule is comprised of six premier Super Late Model events, at a diverse group of tracks in both PASS North and PASS South, that will determine an overall PASS National Champion. The PASS National Championship Series will see the champion crowned in the final race of the 2018 season at Hickory Motor Speedway in the 13th Annual Mason-Dixon Meltdown 200. And, for the first time ever, the PASS National Championship Series will visit Richmond Raceway in Virginia to headline the inaugural Commonwealth Classic on October 19-20. Additionally, the Spring’s most prestigious short track race in the country, the 13th Annual Easter Bunny 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway, will now see the top three finishers get guaranteed starting spots, not only for the 45th Annual Oxford 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway, but also for the Commonwealth Classic at Richmond. Waterbury, VT – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials announced today that they have finalized the point fund for the 2018 ACT Late Model Tour season. A total of $40,750 has been posted in season-ending awards, a total increase of nearly $10,000 over the 2017 season.
The 2018 ACT Late Model Tour champion will receive the same $10,000 point fund award has they have in recent seasons. However, substantial increases have been posted for much of the top-10. Second place in the final standings for the upcoming season will receive $6,000, while the third-place finisher is slated to earn $4,500. Fourth and fifth place will collect $3,500 and $3,000, respectively.

Waterbury, VT – American-Canadian Tour (ACT) officials announced today that Randy Potter has joined the ACT staff as a Technical Inspector. Potter will work alongside Director of Competition Pete Knights at all ACT Late Model Tour events throughout the 2018 season.
Potter has been involved in Northeast racing for more than three decades as a competitor. He raced full-time on the ACT Late Model Tour during the 2007-2012 seasons, winning one event and finishing in the top-10 in points each season. Knights served as Potter’s crew chief during his time on the Tour.

Barre, VT – Thunder Road officials have announced that Myers Container Service has signed a multi-year agreement to return as the title sponsor of the Triple Crown Series for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers. The series debuted in 2017 with Craftsbury Common’s Mike Martin capturing the inaugural championship.
The Myers Container Service Triple Crown Series in 2018 will once again consist of three 75-lap races for Thunder Road’s famed Flying Tiger division. All three events will award both Myers Container Service Triple Crown Series points and Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tiger track championship points. There will be a separate championship and point fund for the top finishers in the final Triple Crown standings.

Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Releases Action Packed 2018 Schedule
(Halifax, NS – January 22, 2018) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour (PST) is excited to announce their 2018 schedule of events. The schedule features 12 stock car racing events at four unique venues throughout the three Maritime Provinces from May to September. This year marks the 18th season for the popular Late Model touring series.
A number of small changes highlight the 2018 schedule. Petty International Raceway in River Glade, New Brunswick, will open the season on the Victoria Day weekend with a Saturday, May 19th event. The series will then head to Scotia Speedworld in Enfield, Nova Scotia for Round Two on the Series and the first of four events at the 3/10-mile oval. (more…)

The 2018 race season is just around the corner and Kate Re of Lovell, Maine will be starting the next step in her racing career. “My plans for the 2018 season are to get as much seat time and learn as much as possible. I’m excited to try something new and look forward to the season.”
There are a number of different types of race cars and series, so what made Kate decide to race modifieds, this season? “I’ve wanted to race a modified, ever since I started racing. I like the open wheel style of a modified; I always liked racing the Champ karts when I had the chance, they have a similar open wheel style.”
