Payea Prevails in T-Road Labor Day Classic 200
Late rally lands ACT point leader 5th Tour win
BARRE, VT – Scott Payea led the final 13 laps of the 39th Annual Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic at Thunder Road Monday after a caution on lap 185 put him on the front row with eventual third-place finisher Nick Sweet.
Scott Dragon got by Sweet with three laps left to claim runner-up honors.
Payea brought the Harrison Redi-Mix No. 37 to the pits on lap 48 after suffering damage when cars stacked up behind a fourth-turn spinout.

Barre, Vt. – The 55th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank is just around the corner at Barre’s Thunder Road. Track officials have announced plans for the latest running of the famed event at the Barre high banks on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1, with five divisions of racing action that promise something for every racing fan in the Northeast.
The 55th Milk Bowl is the biggest event on the Thunder Road calendar with a storied history that dates back to 1962. It has been captured by the biggest names of Northeast U.S. and Canadian Late Model racing over the decades from four-time winner Robbie Crouch to three-time champion Nick Sweet. Many of today’s top American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Thunder Road Late Model drivers are expected at the 55th edition as well.

BARRE, VT – American Canadian Tour rivals Scott Payea of Colchester, Vt. and Dillon Moltz of Waterford, Ct. resume their bid for the 2017 ACT Late Model Tour title at the 39th running of the Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic 200 at Thunder Road Sunday, September 3.
Payea leads Moltz by 28 points with two events remaining. Both drivers are seeking their first ACT championship.
Payea drove the Harrison Concrete and Redi-Mix No. 37 to victory in the Community Bank 150 on the Barre high banks earlier in the season. Moltz, who is coming off a recent win at White Mountain Motorsports Park, finished 3rd in the first Thunder Road tour event.

Oxford, ME- The first Granite State Pro Stock Series race at Oxford Plains Speedway saw Locals Bobby Timmons of Windham, ME on the pole and Derek Kneeland of Sebago, ME on the outside. At the start of the race Kneeland and Hall were in tight competition for the lead, until the middle of the race when Hall held the lead for much of the remaining laps.
In third place for much of the race and showing the patience of a veteran racer, fourteen-year-old Gabe Brown ran impressive race. Series regular and the current point leader Mike O’Sullivan of Springfield MA, was consistent all night and moved from thirteenth position to tenth by the end of the race. This granted him a provisional position in the Oxford 250 on Sunday. Former series champion Derek Griffith also ran consistently throughout the race starting eleventh and finishing seventh in the race.

WALPOLE, N.H. – For the first time in the history of the Granite State Pro Stock Series, the drivers are heading for Oxford Plains Speedway on Oxford 250 weekend.
The GSPSS drivers will compete in a 100-lap feature on Saturday night, which is the night before the prestigious 44th annual Scott’s Recreation Oxford 250. The event will allow some of the drivers planning to run the 250 a chance to compete with the regulars of the GSPSS. The hope is that drivers who compete learn something heading for Sunday’s prestigious event.

Dillon Motlz carries the checkered flag to victory lane at White Mountain Motorsports park
North Woodstock, NH – Dillon Moltz raced his way back into the American Canadian Tour (ACT) title chase with a convincing win in the Foley Oil & Propane 150 at White Mountain Motorsports Park Saturday.
Moltz started third in the RB Performance No. 5 Chevrolet, survived early contact with Stephen Donahue and then took the lead from Jason Corliss for keeps on lap 25.
Corliss battled back to finish 2nd after getting shuffled back behind lapped traffic on the fourth of five restarts on lap 92.
