Offers season long awards to participating Granite State Pro Stock Series drivers
CANAAN, NH — Granite State Pro Stock Series racers will have a little extra incentive to race for in their inaugural racing season. The Granite State Pro Stock Series has announced a partnership with two of New England’s most recognizable brands in stock car racing: New England Racing Fuels and Bond Auto Parts.
New England Racing Fuels and Sunoco will become the official fuel of the Granite State Pro Stock Series in 2012. New England Racing Fuels will sponsor the hard chargers award to the driver that improves their position the most during the feature event. The driver who is named the New England Racing Fuels Hard Charger at each event will awarded 15 gallons of racing fuel. New England Racing Fuels will also award a 55-gallon drum of fuel to the hard charger of the year at the 2012 Granite State Pro Stock Series awards banquet. (more…)
Lee, NH – Eight-time American Canadian Tour Late Model Champion Brian Hoar of Williston, VT claimed his second straight NH Governor’s Cup 150 season opener at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, NH on Sunday, April 15. Hoar escaped a late race assault from multi-time Lee USA Speedway Champion Wayne Helliwell, Jr. of Dover, NH to earn the win.
Jeff Taylor of Farmington, ME led early in the event after starting on the pole with a +6 in ACT’s plus/minus handicap system. Helliwell worked his way from the fifth starting position to take over the lead on lap 10 and appeared dominant for the next 60 laps. However, Ben Rowe of Turner, ME came from the 10th starting position to run down Helliwell just before the halfway mark. Rowe also appeared to have the race in hand until Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, MA took over the lead with 118 laps complete. (more…)

LEE, N.H. – Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, picked up where he left off last season, finishing third in the ACT Late Model Tour season-opening NH Governor’s Cup 150 at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, N.H., on Sunday, April 15. The finish marked Theriault’s seventh consecutive Top-10 finish in ACT competition dating back to July of 2011, and it was also the best career finish at Lee USA Speedway for the driver of the AT Racing No. 57 Pelletier Ford Ford Fusion. Theriault advanced 16 positions from his starting position of 19th, but a rash of late-race restarts slowed his progress toward the front.

FORT KENT, Maine – Austin Theriault of Fort Kent Maine joins the rest of the ACT Late Model Tour when the series opens its season with the NH Governor’s Cup 150 at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, N.H., on Sunday, April 15.
