Thunder Road Community Donates Thousands to Local Food Shelf

Thunder RoadBarre, VT – The Thunder Road community of fans, competitors and officials came together during the Bond Auto Labor Day weekend event to accumulate thousands of dollars in food and cash donations for the Waterbury Food Shelf. The Waterbury area was one of the hardest hit during last week’s Hurricane Irene devastation. The Waterbury Food Shelf was not spared and lost its entire inventory.

NAPLES ME (9/7) The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North kicks off a busy four weeks with four races in a row as the weather cools down and the 2011 Championship races for all three PASS North divisions heat up.
Sunday September 11th is the rescheduled White Mountain Motorsports Park date. The 2:00 PM green will feature all three PASS North touring series plus a 40 lap Wildcat/Strictly feature.

The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Models headed to Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, North Carolina, on Saturday, September 3rd, for the “Labor Day Classic 150” event, the 11th race of the 2011 season. After multiple leaders and a wild conclusion, Clay Rogers went to victory lane, earning his second-career PASS South Super Late Model Series victory, his second win in a row.

BARRE, Vt. – Brent Dragon of Milton, Vt., battled front end damage to finish 14th in the Bond Auto Labor Day Classic 200 at Thunder Road International Speedbowl on Sunday, September 4. Dragon qualified well in his heat race and grabbed the 3rd starting position for the feature. At the halfway point of the race, Dragon’s car became very loose, which was corrected by a trip to the pits for new tires. Dragon was well inside the Top-10 when contact caused front end damage, making the car very tight. Dragon will now look to the Quebec doubleheader weekend where he hopes to keep learning more for next season.

Joey Polewarczyk grabs a second place finish in the 2011 Labor Day Classic

(Barre, VT) – Joey Polewarczyk delivered on a promise to himself and his team during the ACT Labor Day Classic, held at Thunder Road Speedbowl on September 4.

That promise was to bring home a great finish and by coming away with a second-place finish, he did just that.
