PASS North: Johnny Clark is still the master of Wiscasset

Naples ME (May 18, 2008) Two time Pro All Stars Series (PASS)  Champion Johnny Clark led all but lap one of the Ray Haskell Ford 125 Sunday afternoon to record his first PASS victory of 2008. The Hallowell Maine ace continued his dominance at the coastal oval where he’s been a winner in three of the past four PASS sanctioned super late model events. Travis Benjamin gave Clark all he could handle though, looking for a way around and under Clark for nearly 100 laps. Benjamin had to settle for second by less than a car length at the checkers. Ben Rowe had a solid run in third, with Cassius Clark and Adam Bates completing the top five. Rookie D.J. Shaw s’ sixth place finish was his best PASS result to date; Kelly Moore, Scott Chubbuck, Richie Dearborn and Steve Berry rounded out the top ten. Johnny Clark, Ben Rowe, and Ritchie Dearborn were heat race winners. The race was slowed by nine caution flags. Twenty of the twenty three starters were running at the finish.
