HICKORY, NC (September 22) – Part-time competitor and hometown favorite Tyler Church claimed his first career Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South Super Late Model win Sunday afternoon at Hickory Motor Speedway in the 7th running of the Over The Mountain 150 Presented By CV Products. Church took the lead with 13 laps to go from Johnson Motorsports teammate and 4-time Hickory Motor Speedway winner Preston Peltier and held on the rest of the way to take an emotional victory in front of the hometown fans.
“I wasn’t going to give up, but I owe a lot to Preston [Peltier] because he’s got these cars figured out and I’m privileged to get to drive one,” said an emotional Church in victory lane. “Man, this is home. Mama’s buried in the cemetery on the hill. This is special.”

Scarborough, ME – Joey Doiron and the #73 Wild Willy’s Burgers team had a disappointing run in the Southern Maine Motors 300 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway. After struggling to find the handle with their car all weekend, they were collected in two incidents, but fought hard until the end of the Pro All Stars Series North marathon with a 15th place finish.
Thanks to a new partnership with ARBodies, the 73 machine went from its usual black Impala body to a new white ARBodies Dodge Challenger, turning many heads with the new look. He started and finished third in the heat race, giving him a 12th place starting position for the 300 lap event.

Theriault Leads Crazy Horse Efforts
Season Hits Homestretch With Host Of Strong Performances
SOUTH PARIS, Maine – The car known as “T-Rex” continued feasting on PASS North Series competition last weekend.
Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, dominated the Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep 300 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine, on Sunday, September 15, giving Theriault his second win in five PASS North Series starts in his family-owned No. 57 Pelletier Ford Ford Fusion. The car, built at the beginning of the 2012 season by Crazy Horse Racing, led 192 of the 300 laps after starting on the pole in the 31-car field.
“I’ve got to say, it was probably the easiest 300 laps I’ve ever driven,” Theriault said. “The car was just that awesome.”
The same car won the PASS North Series season finale at Oxford Plains Speedway last year, and it has two wins, three Top-5s and five Top-10s in five races as a Super Late Model. The car was originally built to compete on the ACT Late Model Tour, where it also won a race at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in July of 2012.

Scarborough, ME – DJ Shaw continued his late season surge for the Pro All Stars Series North Championship with a runner up finish at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in the 8th Annual Southern Maine Motors 300. The #60 Precision JLM machine was fast all day, and ran in the top three for most of the event and picked up a lot of points in the championship picture with just one race remaining.
“We had a solid car all day and it was fun racing for the win with Austin (Theriault) and Derek (Ramstrom),” Shaw said after the event, “I didn’t want to push it too hard there at the beginning but coming from outside the top ten and then having to race as hard as everyone else was up front, but all in all it was a great race and great points day for us, we have a shot going into Oxford.”
The weekend started out on Saturday with the heat races. Shaw started on the outside of the front row, and overtook Brad Babb early to grab the heat win. That was the second heat win of the season for Shaw, who has been stellar in the qualifiers lately. The big 300 lap feature event took place the next day on Sunday in front of a great crowd at Beech Ridge. (more…)
AUSTIN THERIAULT SCORES P.A.S.S. 400
SUPER LATE MODEL VICTORY AT BEECH RIDGE
A gorgeous late summer day greeted race fans at the beautiful Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine on Sunday, and they were treated to some great racing in all three P.A.S.S. divisions that participated on the final day of the event.
Young Austin Theriault carried the checkered flag in the 300 lap Super Late Model event, but it was a challenge from the start as he led for the first four laps before outside pole sitter, Corey Bubar took over until a lap 90 restart for a minor spin by Kyle Desouza. At this point racing became intense as some of the top cars were starting to make their way through traffic and were headed to the front. Theriault got the jump on the restart, and Kelly Moore erupted from the fourth spot, and jumped to the second spot at the green. Travis Benjamin also slipped by Bubar, and Michael Landry worked Bubar’s inside for fifth. While Theriault led the race, Bubar battled his way back into the second spot before the caution flew once again for a minor spin in turn two. Suddenly, Travis Benjamin headed to the pits, the hood went up, and apparent mechanical problems eliminated the 2013 TD Bank 250 from any more action.
