NAPLES, ME (August 1) – Following the success of the 40th running of the TD Bank 250, Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Model teams must now shift their attention to the next test. What lies ahead is a challenge that will see PASS North race in two countries in three days. It starts on Sunday with the series’ first trip of the season to New Hampshire’s White Mountain Motorsports Park and will be followed by a trip to Canada on Tuesday for the second leg of the Autobus La Quebecoise Triple Crown. The Budweiser 150 at Autodrome Chaudiere could be the biggest motorsports event ever held in Quebec and will feature Sprint Cup Series star Kyle Busch. And, with a championship struggle that sees the top five in points separated by less than 100 points, any misstep in the next two races could be detrimental towards claiming the 2013 PASS North title.

CHARLOTTE, NC (July 30) – After two months plagued by rainouts and postponements, the top touring Super Late Model teams in the South are beyond ready to kick off the second half of the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) South season with this weekend’s Scorcher 150 at Southern National Motorsports Park. The start of the 2013 season has been highlighted by tight, fast competition between experienced veterans and young newcomers to the series.
For the second year in-a-row, defending PASS South Champion Kyle Grissom and defending PASS National Champion Jay Fogleman are in a tussle for the 2013 PASS South championship. Entering the Scorcher 150, the two have separated themselves from their closest competitors in the standings, rookies Brandon Lynn and Spencer Davis, and are only eight points apart. Between the two, Fogleman might have at slight edge over Grissom having won the first PASS South race there back in April.
Speaking of Fogleman, the Durham, NC veteran comes to Southern National riding high following his third place finish in North America’s biggest short track event, the 40th TD Bank 250 which was recently held at Maine’s Oxford Plains Speedway. A strong contingent of Southern drivers made the trip North to Oxford this year, including PASS South’s Spencer Davis and Tate Fogleman. Both come to the Scorcher 150 with reason to be optimistic. Davis won the PASS Pro Late Model race at Southern National in July and led the most laps in the PASS South Super Late Model race, while T. Fogleman scored his best career PASS South finish coming home in seventh.

Oxford, ME – In the first TD Bank 250 to feature the Super Late Models since 2006, Joey Doiron and the 73 Wild Willy’s Burgers/JBJ Machine team had an incredible day, finishing second after leading 26 laps in the biggest short track race in the country. Many of the biggest stars of motorsports have competed in the annual 250 lap event at Oxford Plains Speedway. 66 of the best Super Late Model drivers tried to qualify for the 41 car field that paid $25,000 to win.
Starting the weekend out with practice on both Saturday and Sunday morning, the team felt confident in their chances going into the heat races. It wasn’t going to be easy however, as Doiron drew 10th place in the first heat race. The pre-race draw is one of the most intriguing parts of the day, as only four cars will get in to the race through the heat races, and the rest go to consolation and last chance races. Doiron wasted no time in his heat to find the front however, as he used the outside groove to work his way forward. With ten laps to go in the 25 lap heat, he was in a transfer spot for the 250. He didn’t stop there though, as he drove to a third place finish, giving him a 13th place starting spot for the main event.
