Joey Doiron still atop standings, Andy Shaw claims PASS Mod win
Scarborough, Maine — Cassius Clark of Farmington, Maine became the first two-time winner of the 2013 Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model season Saturday night, outdueling future New England Hall of Famer Mike Rowe to win the Southern Maine Motors 150 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine.
“It’s a lot of fun racing for the win with Mike Rowe,” Clark said after driving the Hight Motortsports 77 into victory lane. “Thanks to the Hights for the opportunity to drive for them, and to Brian and the guys for putting a great car underneath me.”
Clark prevailed in the season-opening 150-lapper at Oxford Plains Speedway, and entered the Beech Ridge event ranked third in PASS North driver points. Clark and Rowe swapped the top positions several times throughout the race after getting by early race leaders Martin Latulippe and Joey Doiron.

NAPLES, ME (July 2) – Circles are pretty important in short track stock car racing. And unfortunately for the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Model division, the weather has seemed to be a never ending circle of rain, clouds, and race cancellations. The PASS North Super Late Models have not competed since May 18 at Quebec’s Autodrome Chaudiere. Rainouts at White Mountain Motorsports Park and Speedway 660 led to PASS officials adding a make-up event at Oxford Plains Speedway on June 22 and, despite a glimmer of hope that saw cars make it on track for heat racing, a summer shower sent teams packing once again. And, you guessed it, last weekend’s event scheduled for New Hampshire’s Canaan Fair Speedway had to be cancelled due to soggy conditions in and around the speedway.

CHARLOTTE, NC (June 30) – As temperatures across the South continue to hover around the 100 degree mark on the temperature gauge, the racers of the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) are tackling the challenge head on. After being rained out recently on the originally scheduled Saturday night date at Southern National Motorsports Park in eastern North Carolina, both the PASS South Super Late Models and PASS Pro Late Models took to the track to race on an extremely hot and humid Sunday afternoon. On Wednesday night July 3rd, both divisions will take to the track once again under extreme heat, this time in the Upstate of South Carolina at the extremely tight and challenging 3/8 mile Anderson Motor Speedway as part of the 8th Annual Firecracker 150. And, much like the recent challenges posed at Southern National, Anderson will present its own unique set of obstacles to the Nation’s best short track racers.
