NAPLES, ME (July 14) – Entries from every corner of the United States, as well as Canada, continue to make their way into the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) offices for the 43rd Annual HP Hood Oxford 250. Annually, the best attended race for both fans and participants, the HP Hood Oxford 250 will take place on August 26-28 at the legendary Oxford Plains Speedway, paying $25,000 to the winner. With additional lap leader bonus money also on the line, this year’s HP Hood Oxford 250 winner could potentially take home up to $50,000.
Several drivers have already punched their tickets to the prestigious race through the “Road To The Oxford 250” qualifying events, including this year’s Easter Bunny 150 winner, Ben Rowe, and Wayne Helliwell, Jr., Scott Farrington, and Florida’s Dalton Sargeant, each who advanced through a recent “non-winner’s” race at Oxford Plains a couple of weeks ago.

No repeat winners in track’s top class after eleven events
Oxford, Maine – Curtis Gerry of Waterboro raced to his first-ever Oxford Plains Speedway Super Late Model victory Friday night, leading the entire 50-lap distance to become the eleventh different winner in eleven Budweiser Championship Series events this season.
Gerry’s closest rival as he raced under the checkered flag was Oxford Super Late Model rookie Josh Childs, scoring a career-best second-place finish in the top class after winning the Street Stock championship last year.

(Oxford, Maine) – Derek Griffith is by all accounts having a breakout year on the Pro All Stars Series (PASS). Currently sitting fifth in the season points battle, the Hudson, NH youngster took aim at a pair of races held at the Oxford Plains Speedway this past weekend.
“We went up to Oxford to try and just get more seat time, said Derek. That track is certainly tricky; I think the key to getting around it is really just experience.”
Griffith and the No. 12 FEP Insurance/LCM Racing Toyota race team headed up on Saturday to take in a weekly 50-lap event. Unloading very quick has been the norm this year, thanks in part to Crew Chief Louie Mechalides, “Louie has us dialed in, right out of the shop, he is invaluable to what we’re doing this year”, says Griffith.

Oxford, Maine – Wayne Helliwell, Jr. of Dover, New Hampshire raced to a convincing win aboard the Bruce Bernhardt Ford to earn a career-first victory at Oxford Plains Speedway in Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model competition on Sunday evening.
Helliwell’s triumph earned an immediate financial reward of $2000, but more importantly, it nails down a coveted guaranteed spot in the rich, 43rd Annual HP Hood Oxford 250 on August 28 if he otherwise fails to earn a spot in all available qualifying races.
Adam Polvinen of Auburn paced the early stages of the 100-lapper after outgunning Boca Raton, Florida’s Dalton Sargeant early on. Helliwell made steady progress from his 12th starting position, earned by gaining six spots in his heat race, and once in front he had no match on this night.

NAPLES, ME (June 30) – With the 43rd Annual HP Hood Oxford 250 less than two months away and with over 40 cars already entered, racers from across the continent are starting to focus their efforts toward one of short track racing’s biggest events. This weekend a huge opportunity will be presented to Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model racers on the “Road To The Oxford 250.” On Sunday, a special 100 lap event for PASS non-winners and drivers who have competed at Oxford Plains Speedway over the last five years will award the top three finishers a guaranteed provisional for this year’s HP Hood Oxford 250.
Florida’s Dalton Sargeant has made quite an impression since first beginning his stock car racing career in PASS South back in 2014. Since then, he has won a K&N Pro Series race at Irwindale Speedway in California and been among the front runners everywhere he has competed. While a PASS win has escaped him, he challenged for the win recently at Anderson Motor Speedway and finished third in the Over The Moutain 150 at Hickory Motor Speedway. With over 70 cars expected to try and make the field for the HP Hood Oxford 250, the opportunity to get locked into one of short track racing’s most elite starting lineups is not lost on Sargeant.
