Sessions, Mooney win thrillers; Adams extends
win streak to three in last TD Banknorth 250 tuneup
OXFORD, Maine – Hard to imagine the hottest late model driver in New England extending his winning streak to three heading into the biggest race of the year and getting upstaged.
Travis Adams had plenty of competition from Sumner Sessions and Don Mooney, though, for the spotlight and the headlines in one of the wildest Saturday nights imaginable at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Adams continued his recent custom of roaring up the outside and leaving the competition looking at a blur through their windshields. The reigning Oxford Networks Late Model champion won his third straight 40-lap feature and fifth of the season in 10 tries, matching his full-season win total of 2006.
It's a phenomenal achievement headed into what is essentially the all-star break for New England late models, but for sheer excitement, Adams' win over Don Wentworth and Brad Hammond wasn't even close to the top rung on Hilltop Pools & Spas Night.

Thibeault aces Mini Stock endurance test;
Adams leads legendary Rowe in Late Model dash
OXFORD, Maine – One driver's disaster was another's treasure in the Maine State Lottery 100 at Oxford Plains Speedway on Monday night.
Like the rest of the Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy Mini Stock field, Bill Thibeault was beaten and beaten badly by Jimmy Childs. But when the defending division champion and current point leader dropped out with an apparent broken axle on lap 76 after lapping the field, Thibeault inherited the lead and ultimately one of the biggest wins of his four-cylinder driving career.

Adams leads classic Late Model trifecta;
Polvinen, Childs make early fireworks
OXFORD, Maine – Forty laps are enough time for most of the top drivers to get to the front of a crowded Oxford Networks Late Model field at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Travis Adams typically needs about half that long. Adams completed one of his increasingly familiar climbs up the leader board by driving around Corey Morgan on the 20th circuit and cruising to his third feature win of the season Saturday night.

Right place, right time for Childs;
Luce gets to party like it's 1998
OXFORD, Maine – Jimmy Childs often wheels the dominant Allen’s Coffee Flavored Brandy Mini Stock around Oxford Plains Speedway. When he doesn’t, Childs has a knack for being in the right place at the right time and winning, anyway.
Childs took advantage of cousin Rich Sirois' missed shift on a restart with six laps remaining to win the rescheduled Sun Journal 100 for the Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy Mini Stocks on Saturday night.
