SCOTT ENDS CROSBY’S WIN STREAK AT 5 WITH SPEEDWAY 95 WIN
Carmel’s Jeremy Scott led the first 2 laps of the Street’s Landscaping Series 30 lap feature for the Coca-Cola Sport-Fours Saturday night at Speedway until he was passed by Donny Silva of Hudson on lap 3. Scott remained in second place to the checkers, fighting off Jason Trundy of Winterport and Andrew Crosby of Hermon as the three raced nose to tail all race long. Trundy ran behind Crosby until lap 25, when he snuck by on the inside after pinning Crosby behind a lapped car. Trundy then challenged Scott to the flag, but was unable to make the pass. In post-race inspection, Silva, who crossed the finish line first, was disqualified for being 120 pounds under the weight minimum. Scott was declared the winner, with Trundy taking second and Crosby third. Chris Carroll of Alton placed fourth, with Clinton’s Tim Robinson in fifth. (more…)
CHUBBUCK ENDS BURGESS WIN STREAK AT WISCASSET

A select group of racers in Wiscasset’s history draw the attention from drivers & fans similar to that of Scott Chubbuck. The former 6-time track champion rolled into Wiscasset Speedway for the first time this year and proved once again that he is still the man to beat, besting a strong field of Prostocks Saturday night at Maine’s fastest oval. A sunny and pleasant early summer evening welcomed a large crowd of race fans with Group 1 divisions on the agenda, including Prostocks, Thunder 4 Minis, N.E.4-cyl Pros, Napa Super Streets. CAREER-FIRST SUPER LATE MODEL WIN FOR KYLE TREADWELL AT OXFORD PLAINS SPEEDWAY ON WOOD PELLET WAREHOUSE NIGHT
Oxford, Maine – Kyle Treadwell of Buckfield scored for the first time in Budweiser Oxford Championship Series Super Late Model competition, wheeling his Poland Springs 44 to victory lane in convincing fashion on Saturday night (May 30) at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Staring 10th, Treadwell patiently made his way through the top division field, squaring off against former Oxford 250 champion Scott Robbins of Dixfield. For much of the event Robbins was in command, but late restarts, and Treadwell, saw Robbins ending up with the runner-up’s hardware.
Wiscasset Speedway was packed with fans last Sunday afternoon, all gathered to watch some exciting racing action. On the agenda were Outlaw Mini’s, Modifieds, Strictly Street, and the Spotlighted main event, The Coastal 200, sponsored by Jordan Lumber and Jordan Excavation. The two-hundred lap Late Model Sportsman event had a total purse in excess of $18,000 with $3,000 going to the winner. In addition to the purse, there was lap leader money in excess of $4,000. This included a $500 halfway bonus, complements of New England Race Fuels.
The Coastal 200 kicked off with three heat races. The heat races were sponsored by Norm’s Used Cars and Truck’s by Norm, both of Wiscasset. One hundred dollars went to each of the three heat winners. Those winners, who started at the pole were the #33 of Josh St Clair. Josh St Clair was the 2014 Coastal 200 winner. Winner of the second heat was the #17 of Chris Thorne. Third heat winner was Andrew McLaughlin of the #26. (more…)
