GEORGIA, Vt. – Between them, they have 14 ACT Late Model Tour championships, more wins than anybody in the history of ACT, the former track record at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and wins from Florida to the Canadian provinces. Name a big race in the northeast, and chances are Brian Hoar or car owner Rick Paya have won it.

There is one omission from that resume, however – one they aim to add this weekend in the 38th annual TD Bank Oxford 250 at historic Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (July 21, 2011) – While most NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers will be spending their off weekend relaxing far away from the race track, Kyle Busch considers running two late model races at Oxford (Maine) Plains Speedway a relaxing weekend. The 26-year-old’s main goal this weekend is to knock winning the TD Bank 250 off his racing bucket list, but Busch, who is used to running multiple NASCAR races in the same weekend, is also entered in the Pro All Star Series (PASS) Super Late Model 150 on Saturday.

Mulkern Racing Tackles Key Summer Stretch

FALMOUTH, Maine – The PASS North Series celebrates the halfway point of the season with two races in three days this week, and Lonnie Sommerville of Saint John, New Brunswick, plans to be right in the mix in both events.

Sommerville, third in the series standings, wants to use a Thursday night stop at Thompson (Conn.) International Speedway and a Saturday night return to Oxford Plains Speedway to springboard his chances at the championship in the Mulkern Racing No. 48 A.E. McKay Builders Chevrolet.

PETER DRAKE TAKES TRUCK SERIES WIN AT 95

Peter Drake of Corinth took the lead from pole sitter Anthony Moore of Brewer on the 7th lap of the 25 lap Pick up Truck series race at Speedway 95 Wednesday and led to the checkers, picking up his second win of the season. Newcomer David Gray of Dixmont picked up his first top three of the season, finishing in the runner up spot. Dana Harlow of Bucksport backed up his win of a week ago by posting a third place finish. Moore finished fourth with Jim Carr Jr. of Clifton surviving a mid race slide in turns three and four to finish fifth.
