Durham, ME – Evan Beaulieu scored his best ever finish in a Super Late Model on Saturday night at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway when he led several laps and crossed the line second. Beaulieu, 20, is a rookie in the division this year driving the Hancock Lumber No. 56 out of the Dan McKeage stable. After the race, the smile on the driver’s face said it all.
“What an awesome night this was,” Evan said proudly. “We actually got this car dialed in and I was able to just run consistent laps all night long, my crew has done a great job this year making gains on this car and I’m proud we got such a great run in. I wish we wouldn’t of gotten that caution or could’ve had a longer run at the end, it’s taken us a few laps all year to get up to speed on restarts, but congrats to Bobby (Timmons) on the win, glad to see him get one.”

Lee, NH – Former Lee USA Speedway Late Model and NASCAR New England Regional champion Ricky Wolf, Jr. collected his second win of the 2013 season after an impressive run in the Benson Lumber and Hardware sponsored 30-lap feature event for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Small Block Supermodifieds at Lee USA Speedway on Friday night.
Backing up his first win in the open-wheelers back on July 12, Wolf quickly got past polesitter Leslie Keyser to assume the lead, and he never looked back, leading every lap on the way to a crowded victory lane celebration with his legion of fans, known at the speedway as “The Wolfpack“.
Barre, VT – Ten days after his first Late Model career win, which was 14 years in the making, Eric Chase of Milton was back in victory lane on FairPoint Communications Night Sunday at Thunder Road.
Chase ruled the FairPoint Communications Night 50-lap main event after taking the lead from Joey Becker on lap 8. Jason Corliss and Phil Scott spent over 20 laps in hot pursuit before the race came apart on the frontstretch on lap 43.
As lapped car Dave Whitcomb eased up the track to let Chase slip through, he was turned by Corliss who was coming off turn four at full throttle. Scott slammed on the brakes and came to a stop against Whitcomb, only to be hammered from behind by Jamie Fisher.
12 year-old Robby Douglas from Derry, NH is one of the young drivers who races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) in the Gifford’s Ice Cream Bandolero Series. Halfway through the race season, Robby is second in points behind Casey Call.
Making the move from Tiger Sprint karts, racing at Route 106, to Bandoleros was a logical step towards Robby’s future racing in NASCAR: “I had a lot of fun at the arrive and drive and I really wanted to drive on NHMS and I wanted to learn how to drive a stock car so this is a good stepping stone.”
