Eddie MacDonald Finishes Second in ACT Governor’s Cup at Lee

Eddie MacDonald started on the pole and led 108 laps in the American Canadian Tour’s New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150 at Lee USA Speedway on Saturday, May 12 only to lose the handling to post a second place finish. The EXIT Realty Beatrice Associates/Hancock Electric Chevy won the pole position thanks to a +5 rating coming from eighth to third in the 12 lap heat.

ACT Set to Tackle Tricky Lee Oval at New Hampshire Governor’s Cup

Waterbury, VT – After finally kicking off the 2018 season this past Sunday, the American-Canadian Tour will be right back in action just six days later. The New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 150 at Lee USA Speedway this Saturday, May 12 will continue a busy early-season stretch for ACT teams created by multiple postponements. As such, their mettle will be tested as they set up their summer-long charge for the ACT Late Model Tour championship.

” Both things are great actually both things are fantastic. I raced a midget up there one time. It should be a very good Supermodified track because the Supers are so darn fast and the caliber of cars and drivers are just unbelievable.” Warren Said

Mike Ordway, Jr and Clyde Booth Teaming Up For 2018 ISMA Season

WINCHESTER, NH-  Mike Ordway, Jr and Clyde Booth will team up for the 2018 ISMA season when they kickoff with CARQUEST Genden Auto Parts 75 presented by T-Bird Mini Parts on Saturday, May 19. The plan is to run the full schedule in 2018.
” I believe the main challenge will be learning which grooves these types of cars like. Along with how everyone else is going to learn the racetrack. These will come with the opening day challenges of any year with new racecars, redesigned racecars, and people just trying to get the bugs worked out on opening day in general.” Ordway, Jr Said
” Well, I think its great. The main thing is its an added venue to our series and I think the area whether it would be New Hampshire or Connecticut. They really understand the Supermodifieds. I just think it’s going to be good for the crowd and certainly good for us.” Booth Said Booth believes when fans come to Monadnock on Saturday, May 19 that they will see an exciting race when you see all the Supermodifieds out on the track with the wing on it.

Travis Benjamin prevails in PASS North Super Late Model thriller at Star Speedway

Epping, NH – Defending Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model champion Travis Benjamin of Belfast, Maine nailed down his first race victory of the season, prevailing in a close battle versus Reid Lanpher to earn top honors in Saturday night’s Support 50 Legs 150 at Star Speedway in Epping, New Hampshire.

Benjamin’s paint-swapping battle with Lanpher was just the final entertaining duel on the racy quarter-mile oval for the lead.  The Weirs GMC-sponsored racer turned back other challengers during the 150-lapper, most notably from Johnny Clark and Joe Squeglia, Jr.
