Eddie MacDonald fought darkness and a wild field of drivers to post a seventh place finish in the American Canadian Tour Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday. In what can only be described as the most bizarre race ever staged at the Loudon, NH mile oval, the scheduled fifty lap event was mercilessly ended in darkness after completing just eighteen laps.
Eddie Mac posted the fourth fastest time in the morning practice and drew the 26thstarting position for the final race of the day at NHMS following the NASCAR trucks and Whelen modifieds. The Hancock Electric/EXIT Realty Chevy owned by Freddie Peterson won the event the last two Septembers and five championships overall with Eddie Mac confident another victory could be his.

Pitkat wins touch ACT Invitational at NHMS
LOUDON, NH – Woody Pitkat drove the Summit Ice No. 07MA to victory in a rough and ragged ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Saturday.
The race was called with 18 of 50 scheduled laps completed as daylight waned. Two false restarts attempting to complete lap 19, with Pitkat and runner-up Jimmy Hebert on the front row, sealed the deal.
Multiple accidents and long clean-up and line-up times prolonged the race for nearly two hours.

White Mountain Motorsports Park score is second PASS Super Late Model win this season for Derek Griffith
North Woodstock, NH — Derek Griffith of Hudson, New Hampshire raced to his second Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model victory of the season Saturday night in the 150-lap event topping the racing car at White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, New Hampshire.
To earn this trip to the winners’ circle Griffith needed to take command of the race from Ben Rowe, the reigning PASS Super Late Model National Champion who is no stranger to victory lane at the high-banked, quarter-mile oval.
Griffith’s LCM Motorsports 12 was chased under the checkered flag by Travis Benjamin of Morrill, Maine. Benjamin vaulted into the PASS North Super Late Model championship points lead with his runner-up finish aboard the Petit Motorsports 7.

Barre, Vt. – The 55th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank is fast approaching at Barre’s Thunder Road. Drivers from throughout New England and Quebec have entered the $10,000-to-win event on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1, with a number of top drivers seeking their first Milk Bowl victory.
American-Canadian Tour (ACT) point leader Scott Payea of Milton leads the list of drivers looking to join the fraternity of those who have triumphed in “The Toughest Short Track Stock Car Race in North America”. Payea swept this season’s ACT Late Model Tour events at the Barre high banks, capturing the Community Bank 150 onJune 11 and the Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic on September 4. He will look to go three-for-three in 2017 by being on top after three 50-lap segments in the unique event.

LEE, N.H. — The first demolition derby in the 33-year history of Lee USA Speedway highlights a special multi-event “Night of Destruction” program Saturday. Youngsters will have Big Wheel and Power Wheel races starting at 5 p.m. with medalions going to the top finishers.
Six and eight-cylinder car demo qualifying heats will be followed by spectator drag races open to fans in their own cars. A four-cylinder car enduro feature event will be run along with a “Flag Pole” 10-lap event, where cars go around the track and a large obstacle tire on the speedway.

ACT Invitational takes to the “Magic Mile” Saturday
LOUDON, NH – American Canadian Tour (ACT) regular Jimmy Hebert of Williamstown, Vt. is looking to improve upon his 2016 finish by one spot in the Ninth Annual ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Saturday.
Hebert was leading last year’s event when a caution with five laps remaining brought Eddie MacDonald into contention. MacDonald snatched the lead when the race went green and drove off to his third straight Invitational win.
