Eddie MacDonald piloted the EXIT Realty/Hancock Electric Late Model Chevy to a third place finish in the DAV Fall Classic at Seekonk Speedway on Saturday, then raced to a determined seventh place run in the EXIT Realty/Grimm Construction Pro Stock Chevy in the final feature of the night. The team then headed to Eddie Mac’s family track, Lee USA Speedway for Sunday’s Pro Stock feature in the annual Oktoberfest to close out the racing season at the Lee, N.H. facility.
With the team unable to participate in the Friday practice session at Seekonk due to scheduling conflicts, the crew arrived Saturday morning prepping both the late model and the pro stock for the morning practice. Eddie Mac started third in the first of three pro stock 12 lap heats to score a third place finish placing him in the seventh slot in the feature. Eddie Mac drew the fourth slot in the third late model 12 lap heat then spent the rest of the time stuck on the outside with the preferred lane on the bottom to finish fifth. The Freddie Peterson owned Chevy would start 13th in the 50 lap feature.

Series finale at Thompson October 14
Thompson, Ct. – American Canadian Tour (ACT) point leader Scott Payea will attempt to close out his record-breaking season by becoming the 2017 tour champion Saturday, October 14 at the 55th Annual Thompson Speedway World Series.
Payea became the first ACT Late Model driver ever to win four consecutive tour events earlier this season with victories at Devil’s Bowl, Thunder Road, White Mountain and Seekonk Speedway.

Barre, Vt. – Hometown driver Jason Corliss earned the biggest win of his Thunder Road Late Model career on Sunday, October 1, beating out South Burlington’s Trampas Demers to with the 55th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank. It was the fourth Late Model win of the season and eighth of the young standout’s career.
Corliss entered the third and final 50-lap segment bringing up the rear of a four-car battle for that saw Barre’s Nick Sweet, Colchester’s Scott Payea, Demers, and Corliss separated by just four total points. While Sweet fought an ill-handling car and Payea struggled to move through the field, Demers and Corliss sliced through traffic and found themselves sitting fourth and fifth with less than 20 laps to go.

LEE, NH: Plans continue to develop for the season-ending 34th annual

Oktoberfest of Racing here at Lee USA Speedway with a $50,000 purse announced this week for the 10-division program Saturday and Sunday, October 7th-8th.
Drivers and cars from various New England speedways will be joining the Lee regulars for the traditional special season finale.
Super-modifieds, the Valenti modified tour and pro stocks lead the list of well over 200 race cars expected for the full 22-race program on Saturday, with practice at noon, and eight feature races on Sunday with the green flag at noon.

Eddie MacDonald fought darkness and a wild field of drivers to post a seventh place finish in the American Canadian Tour Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday. In what can only be described as the most bizarre race ever staged at the Loudon, NH mile oval, the scheduled fifty lap event was mercilessly ended in darkness after completing just eighteen laps.
Eddie Mac posted the fourth fastest time in the morning practice and drew the 26thstarting position for the final race of the day at NHMS following the NASCAR trucks and Whelen modifieds. The Hancock Electric/EXIT Realty Chevy owned by Freddie Peterson won the event the last two Septembers and five championships overall with Eddie Mac confident another victory could be his.

Pitkat wins touch ACT Invitational at NHMS
LOUDON, NH – Woody Pitkat drove the Summit Ice No. 07MA to victory in a rough and ragged ACT Invitational at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Saturday.
The race was called with 18 of 50 scheduled laps completed as daylight waned. Two false restarts attempting to complete lap 19, with Pitkat and runner-up Jimmy Hebert on the front row, sealed the deal.
Multiple accidents and long clean-up and line-up times prolonged the race for nearly two hours.
