Barre, Vt. – Barre’s Thunder Road enters the home stretch of the summer racing season this Thursday, August 10with Cody Chevrolet Cadillac Night. The Myers Container Service Triple Crown Series finale for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers headlines the four-division card as the track awards the first championship of the 2017 season.
Craftbury Common’s Mike Martin enters the extra-distance event holding a 13-point lead over Waterbury Center’s Jason Woodard. The pair each has a victory in the first two legs of the Triple Crown with Martin’s fourth-place finish in the opener giving him the overall edge.

Barre, Vt. – South Hadley, MA’s Wesley Johnson emerged victorious in the 33rd M&M Beverage Enduro 200 at Barre’s Thunder Road on Sunday, August 6. The 30-year-old topped a field of 105 entries to pocket $3,000 for his victory in front of a capacity crowd at the Barre high banks.
Johnson found his way into the top-three around the halfway point of the event, and at one point found himself in a three-way battle for the lead with Granitville’s Frank Putney and Monson, Mass.’s Bill Davis. While Putney eventually was forced to pit with problems and Davis encountered a pair of on-track skirmishes, Johnson held steady and was the only driver to complete all 200 laps.

Lee, NH – Glen Luce of Turner, Maine pulled away from the field in the late stages of Friday night’s Pro All Stars Series North Super Late Model 150-lapper at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, New Hampshire to post his second win on the touring series this season.
Luce started from 14th position, patiently making steady progress through the field as Scarborough, Maine’s Garrett Hall set the pace for the first sixty laps. Six-time PASS North champion Johnny Clark took over and looked like a possible winner before Luce and 12th-place starter Travis Benjamin moved into contention with about 30 laps to go.

Barre, Vt. – Barre’s Thunder Road hosts the 33rd running of the M&M Beverage Enduro 200 this Sunday, August 6. “The People’s Race” is one of the most popular on the schedule every year and is shaping up for another successful outing in 2017.
The event routinely draws 100 entries or more with the field full of amateur racers looking to tackle the Barre high banks. Cars will be lined up three-wide to start and there are no yellow flags during the event. The winner will take home $3,000 and bragging rights as the newest Enduro champion. Entry forms will be available the day of the event.

Barre, Vt. – Barre’s Christopher Pelkey came out on top of a classic battle with fellow hometown driver Cody Blake to win the Thunder Road Late Model feature at WDEV Radio/Calkins Portable Toilets Night on Thursday, August 20. It was the first career Late Model victory for the defending Rookie of the Year.
Pelkey originally got underneath polesitter Shawn Fleury to take the lead on lap 19 of the 50-lap event. Blake then drove around the outside to assume the top spot on lap 28, but the race’s lone caution with 14 laps to go for Eric Badore’s spin put the two side-by-side on the restart.

PASS North Back On Track This Weekend At Lee USA Speedway
NAPLES, ME (August 3) – In their last opportunity to race prior to the 44th Annual Scott’s Recreation Oxford 250 presented by Fastway Trailer Products, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Models will be back on track this Friday night at Lee USA Speedway in New Hampshire. Coming in to this weekend’s action, seven drivers are within striking distance for the championship. With his win last weekend at Oxford Plains, two-time 250 winner, Travis Benjamin, has taken over the points lead, while Glen Luce, Ben Rowe, and DJ Shaw are all within 50 points of the leader. Dave Farrington, Jr., six-time PASS North champion, Johnny Clark, and New Hamsphire’s own, Derek Griffith, are all still in the thick of the fight of one of the championship contenders has a hiccup at Lee USA Speedway this weeken.
