Barre, Vt. – Thunder Road officials have announced today that the Warriors will be returning to the Barre high banks beginning Thursday, July 20 as part of Fairpoint Communications Night. The entry-level division previously competed at the track from 2003 through 2011.
A total of six events have been scheduled for the revived division, which will officially be known as the “Road Warriors”. In addition to their July 20 opener, the Warriors will be on the card for WDEV/Calkins Night on Thursday, August 3; Cody Chevrolet Cadillac Night on Thursday, August 10; Jet Service/Accura Printing Night on Thursday, August 24; and the 39th Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic on Sunday, September 3. They will wrap up their season onSaturday, September 30 as part of Booth Bros./H.P. Hood Qualifying Day for the Vermont Milk Bowl.

Barre, Vt. – The Thunder Road summer racing season motors on this Thursday, June 22 with North Country Federal Credit Union Night. The Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers have the main stage with double features on tap for the track’s storied division.
The Flying Tigers open the evening with round one of the Myers Container Services Triple Crown Series, which was rescheduled from the rain-shortened Harvest Equipment event on June 4. They will then conclude the night with their regularly scheduled North Country Federal Credit Union feature. In between, the Thunder Road Late Models and Allen Lumber Street Stocks have a full card of action as well.

Outduels Moltz, Masterson for 3rd straight ACT win
NORTH WOODSTOCK, NH – Scott Payea of Colchester, Vt. took the lead from Dillon Moltz on a lap 72 restart and notched his third consecutive American Canadian Tour (ACT) victory in the White Mountain 150 Saturday at White Mountain Motorsports Park.
Moltz started on the pole, led the first 71 laps and then drew even to Payea’s outside on lap 78, but never managed to regain the top spot. With six laps remaining, Payea finally managed to give Moltz the slip. His winning margin was four car-lengths.

Barre, Vt. – Northfield’s Matt White and Montpelier’s Kyle Pembroke were the stars of the Late Model double features at Thunder Road’s Casella Night on Thursday, June 15. White earned his sixth Late Model victory in the Harvest Equipment make-up feature, while Pembroke made a late charge to score his fifth career victory in the regularly scheduled Casella event.
White started on the pole in the Harvest Equipment event, but quickly found himself under attack from Vermont Governor Phil Scott. A lengthy battle came to an end when the engine let go in Scott’s machine at the halfway mark of the 50-lap feature.

Barre, Vt. – Thunder Road is set to kick off a summer of racing with Casella Night this Thursday, June 15. After a trio of Sunday events, the quarter-mile oval opens its traditional Thursday night racing schedule with an action-packed program featuring double features for the Late Models and the annual appearance of the New England Antique Racers (N.E.A.R.).
The Thunder Road Late Models open the program with their Harvest Equipment make-up feature that was originally scheduled for June 4. They will then have a full round of qualifying and semi-feature action before ending the night with the Casella main event. The doubleheader could go a long way toward setting the stage for the 2017 “King of the Road” chase.

It’s now three weeks, three winners in Rodfather-sponsored NASCAR Whelen All American Series Supermodifieds at Lee USA Speedway, as Kingston veteran Moe Lattime scored his first win of the season in the 30-lap main event on Friday night.
A single caution flag slowed the pace when the previous week’s winner, John Burke of Auburn had a tire go down and spun on the backstretch on the first lap, but it was all Lattime from there.
After starting the race inside the front row, Moe moved out to the lead when racing resumed, and he led every lap on the way to the winner‘s circle, with a comfortable half-second margin of victory over eventual runner-up Mike Keddy of Raymond.
