Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) announced today that ACT will return to the 1.058-mile speedway in 2016 for the 8th Annual Bond Auto Parts ACT Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24. The 50-lap event has been a staple of the ACT schedule since its inaugural running in 2009.
“It’s definitely a race that I love going to,” 2014 Invitational winner Wayne Helliwell, Jr. said. “It brings a different type of racing that we don’t get to do at any other track. Running three-, four-, and sometimes five-wide, as much as it’s nerve-wracking, is also really enjoyable. Overall, it’s just a great experience – especially being mixed in with some of the Cup drivers and the Modified Tour guys. It’s a big event for the crew, the family, and the sponsors, and it’s something we really look forward to every year.”

Waterbury, VT – The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) announced today that the 2016 doubleheader schedule for the two series has been revised. Due to the continuing decline of the Canadian-U.S. exchange rate, the doubleheader event at Quebec’s Autodrome Montmagny originally scheduled for Saturday, July 23 has been cancelled.
“Historically, combination races have featured a U.S. funds purse for all competitors, and with the elevated exchange rate expected to go even higher, the costs for both fans and promoters would be unreasonable,” ACT President Tom Curley and PASS President Tom Mayberry said in a joint statement. “We certainly appreciate all the support and enthusiasm the teams and fans from Quebec have had for the combination events in the past, and we hope that we can get them back on the schedule in 2017.”
