Dillon Motor Speedway Race Preview
THE STORY
FORT KENT, Maine – Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, makes his 2013 PASS South Series debut in the South Carolina Clash 150 at Dillon Motor Speedway in Dillon, S.C., on Saturday, March 9. The driver of the Brad Keselowski Racing No. 29 Checkered Flag Foundation Ford Fusion won in his last start in a PASS-sanctioned Super Late Model race last October, when Theriault won the PASS North Series season finale at Oxford (Maine) Plains Speedway. Theriault, the BKR development driver in his second full season with the organization owned by 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski, led several laps in the ARCA/CRA Super Series Speedfest 200 at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Ga., in January before he was wrecked out of the Top-5 by another competitor in the late stages of the event. Dirty Dozen Late Model Series: Reid Lanpher
Southern Nat’l Motorsports Park Race Preview

THE STORY
MANCHESTER, Maine – Reid Lanpher of Manchester, Maine, will make his debut with JR Motorsports this Saturday, March 2, in the Southern National Motorsports Park Twin 125s – the first event of the 12-race “Dirty Dozen” Late Model series in Lucama, N.C. The 14-year-old Lanpher will drive the No. 8 JRM Chevrolet for the team owned by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. on the .4-mile banked oval. It will mark Lanpher’s first career Late Model start after making a handful of appearances in a Super Late Model last season. The “Dirty Dozen” consists of 12 races – six each at Southern National and Motor Mile Speedway in Virginia.

New Hampshire Teen Testing The Late Model Waters In 2013
SOUTH PARIS, Maine – Taylor Martin raised eyebrows last season in a Legends ride at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, but in 2013 the 15-year-old driver from Windham, N.H., will break out a new Late Model in hopes of making her debut in that division.
Martin purchased a Crazy Horse Racing Late Model from Austin Theriault Racing and will test the car during open practice sessions in the spring with an eye on being race-ready later in the season.
“I am so excited for this year. I am ready for it,” said Martin, who became the first and youngest woman ever to finish on the podium in an event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway last summer. “I’m really, really excited about being able to move up into these cars. (more…)

FREDERICTON: Saturday night at the Fredericton Inn Speedway 660 held its annual Awards banquet to honor the champions and award winners from the past season. A crowd of over 300 on hand to see the 2012 hardware rolled out. This event is always a great cap off to the previous season and a kick off for the upcoming season.
The big winners in 2012 were division champions Dave O’Blenis, Glyn Nott, Shannon Brake, Luc McLaughlin, Cole Boudreau and Chuck and Cliff Mercer.
This year’s Hughie Yorke Dedication to the Sport award was presented to Steve and Bob Rogers. A testimate to two gentleman who have spent their life in racing and now making sure their sons and grandsons have the same opportunity. (more…)

Déry, Laperle Faceoff For the Title
Waterbury, VT – When the checkered flag drops this Sunday, September 16 at Autodrome St-Eustache, a Champion of the Série ACT Castrol Series will be crowned. The epic championship battle has morphed into a two-car war between defending Champion Patrick Laperle and top talent Jean-Francois Déry who will put everything on the line in hopes of a title this weekend.
Déry started the year off in style with a pair of third place finishes in the first two events, but a stray rock at Riverside Speedway left him with a 24th place finish, and dropped him from the point lead down to sixth. Laperle suffered transmission problems in the second event of the year, leaving both teams behind the eight ball in the early going.

Swallow Builds Point Lead With Consecutive Wins
Point leader and Texas Roadhouse North East Mini Stock Tour rookie Shawn Swallow extended his point lead in a thrilling photo finish victory at Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, CT Saturday night. As the pit gates opened at 2 P.M. NEMST and weekly Speedbowl competitors began to line the pit area and descend on the NEMST sign in table, By 5:30 when the heat races began for the nights events thrity-one tour style mini stocks had registered for the nights 50 lap feature event.
