Lepage Returning to Thunder Road for Milk Bowl

Barre, Vt. – The 55th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1 will see a familiar face return to the Barre high banks. Shelburne, Vt. native Kevin Lepage, a three-time Milk Bowl Champion, has officially entered the “Toughest Short Track Stock Car Race in North America” and will look for victory number four in what is expected to be his final event behind the wheel.

 

Lepage competed on the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Pro Stock Tour from 1980 through 1993, posting 11 career wins which included Milk Bowl victories in 1985, 1989, and 1993. He moved to North Carolina in 1994 to join what is now the NASCAR Xfinity Series, eventually working his way up to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Lepage is a two-time winner in the Xfinity Series and has more than 550 career starts in NASCAR’s three national series.

Spectacular PASS Super Late Model score for hometown racer Garrett Hall at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway

Scarborough, Maine – Garrett Hall of Scarborough prevailed in spectacular fashion Sunday afternoon in Pro All Stars Series Super Late Model competition, just beating out nine-time PASS champion Ben Rowe of Turner in a wild finish that saw Hall’s car need a tow to Beech Ridge Motor Speedway victory lane.

 

Hall, who was seeming unbeatable on long green flag runs during the second half of the 150-lap race, saw a trio of late-race restarts put both Rowe and the reigning PASS Super Late Model champion, DJ Shaw of Center Conway, New Hampshire, in contention.

LOUDON, NH – A full field of American Canadian Tour Late Model competitors will be at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Saturday, September 23 for the Ninth Annual running of the ACT Invitational with over $76,000 on the line.

 

Eddie MacDonald of Rowley, Mass. – driver of the Hancock Electric/Exit Realty No. 17 – looms as the man to beat.

UNITY RACEWAY FORCED TO CANCEL SEPTEMBER 10 PROGRAM

The Unity Raceway racing program schedule for this Sunday, September 10, has been canceled out of concerns for track owner George Fernald’s health.

Fernald was hospitalized for nine days in late August with internal shingles, complicated by both meningitis and encephalitis. He returned home on Aug. 24, where he has been receiving treatments since.

Star Classic 100 Up Next For Granite State Pro Stocks

WALPOLE, N.H. – The Granite State Pro Stock Series has just three races remaining on the 2017 championship schedule and the battle for the title is heating up heading for Star Speedway this coming Friday and Saturday night.

The GSPSS will be part of the annual Star Classic weekend, which is a two-day show that also includes the International Supermodified Association (ISMA). The GSPSS will compete in a 100-lap feature event on the slightly banked asphalt oval in Epping, N.H.

Payea Prevails in T-Road Labor Day Classic 200
Late rally lands ACT point leader 5th Tour win

BARRE, VT – Scott Payea led the final 13 laps of the 39th Annual Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic at Thunder Road Monday after a caution on lap 185 put him on the front row with eventual third-place finisher Nick Sweet.

Scott Dragon got by Sweet with three laps left to claim runner-up honors.

Payea brought the Harrison Redi-Mix No. 37 to the pits on lap 48 after suffering damage when cars stacked up behind a fourth-turn spinout.
