NAPLES, ME (July 21) – For only the second time this season, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Models and the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) Late Models will compete together in Twin 150s as they headline the “Summer Showdown In The Mountains” at White Mountain Motorsports Park. This weekend will also mark the first time PASS has competed at the tight, quarter-mile confines which are located in North Woodstock, NH since May, 2014.
One driver who will be very busy this weekend will be homestate favorite Joey Polewarczyk. Joey Pole, as he is known by his fans, will be seeking his first career PASS North Super Late Model win, while also fielding an entry for the ACT Late Model event for his development driver, Ryan Olsen.
“We felt pretty strong about our car at White Mountain before the PASS race that was rained out in June and we feel like we keep improving on our Super Late Model program,” says Polewarczyk, driver of the Pole’s Automotive #97. “We are still searching for our first PASS win and White Mountain would be the perfect place. It’s small, fast, and very racy, so I think it will be very exciting.”
Waterbury, VT – The American Canadian Tour (ACT) issued the Bradley Babb team a penalty for a racing incident at the Seekonk Speedway event on Saturday, July 16, 2016. For his intentional racing retaliation against Eddie MacDonald, 17MA, Babb has been fined and placed on probation for the remainder of the 2016 season.
The incident occurred in the final two laps of the recently held Propane Plus 150 lap race. “We have tolerance and encourage hard racing, but ACT does not allow bump and runs, and it also does not allow intentionally wrecking competing cars as a retaliation for perceived aggressive racing. We feel the penalty imposed is fair and look forward to moving on to the final five events of the season,” said Cris Michaud, Race Director for the American Canadian Tour.

CHARLOTTE, NC (July 20) – The Tour-type Modifieds of the Southern Modified Racing Series (SMRS) Presented By PASS return to action this Friday night for “Foothills Night At The Races” at Tri-County Motor Speedway. The series first trip to the multi-groove .416-mile facility will see several familiar faces returning, while the addition of the Mod Lite division will expand the competition throughout the remainder of the 2016 season. The Mod Lite cars, piloted by drivers like Winston-Salem, NC’s Scott Hall, will help grow the starting fields and will see the winner recognized in Victory Lane ceremonies and also receive recognition for the fastest qualifying lap in their respective division.
“I’m excited to get back to racing in the Modified and with PASS and the Southern Modified Racing Series,” says Hall. “Adding the Mod Lites division gives us a stepping stone to the Tour-Type Modifieds. I have heard great things about the series and am looking forward to our debut on Friday night at Tri-County.”

After five races in the 2016 Granite State Pro Stock Series campaign, Cory Casagrande sits second in the points standings.
Casagrande is a native of Stafford Springs, Connecticut and drives the No. 1 Shark Cycles, Casagrande Builders Chevrolet at each of the races on the GSPSS schedule. So far in 2016, the season has had its ups and downs, but Casagrande sits second in the point standings going into the second half of the season.
“I think from last year to this year, we are 100% better,” Casagrande said. “I’ve been pretty happy with this season so far, we have had a couple of tough races but we’ve also had some top-fives and those are good to have. We’re going to a new track for basically everyone next in Riverhead, I’m probably one of the few people that run the tour that has even been there to watch a race, so I’m looking forward to going back there.
