Barre, VT – Two-time Thunder Road Champion Dave Pembroke earned his second Milk Bowl victory this past weekend in the 50th Annual People’s United Bank Milk Bowl, picking up a check worth over $14,000. The victory was well worth the wait for the family-run team.
“I’m psyched,” Pembroke told the media after the race. “No one else can win it. It will be 50 years before they have another anniversary one. It’s pretty cool to me.”
BARRE, Vt. – Travis Stearns put the finishing touches on a breakout 2012 season last weekend at Thunder Road International Speedbowl, steering the latest Crazy Horse Racing chassis into Victory Lane on the notoriously tricky quarter-mile.
Stearns, of Auburn, Maine, finished second in both 50-lap segments of the Reserve Milk Bowl on Sunday to earn $3,000 by taking the checkered flag in the inaugural event. (more…)
BARRE, Vt. – A broken suspension piece relegated Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, to a 15th-place finish in the 50th annual People’s United Milk Bowl at Thunder Road International Speedbowl in Barre, Vt., on Sunday, October 28. Theriault qualified fourth for the race back on September 27 before the race was rained out, and he finished 11th in a rough-and-tumble opening 50-lap segment on the banked quarter-mile. In the second segment of the race, a broken panhard bar stopped the No. 57 Pelletier Ford Ford Fusion’s march to the front. After working with interim crew chief Mitch Green, Theriault rallied to finish sixth in the final segment in the final Late Model event of the season in the northeast. (more…)
